wrt to copa america popularity compared to the euros, well it's style, stars and location i guess

latin american football is pretty different and the players are considered lower tier, with most wanting to make it big in europe; probably because they are bigger markets, so more money

and the euros will start friday with tonnes of star players. i mean just look at germany though they have a lot of older players now as well

they have pretty much failed to deliver on the stars that are participating, it's true, although James is kicking ass

Except for this centenary edition it has been changed to every 4 years since 2007,and will be that way in future (ignoring this tournament).
