Number None, Thursday, 25 February 2016 21:44 (ten years ago)

Looking at the last 16 and it's pretty big names all the way down. Could be some cracking ties.

groovypanda, Thursday, 25 February 2016 21:56 (ten years ago)

memphis looked like he was having the time of life for once. not convinced i didn't just dream that whole performance.

Ambivalence about the number of games remaining easily trumped by the satisfaction of comfortably beating a proper team.

Really want Dortmund in the next round. Although anyone other than the English teams and Basle would be nice.

Matt DC, Friday, 26 February 2016 07:50 (ten years ago)

liverpool v united in the next round

François Pitchforkian (NickB), Friday, 26 February 2016 12:18 (ten years ago)

and spurs v dortmund!

François Pitchforkian (NickB), Friday, 26 February 2016 12:19 (ten years ago)

Yessssssssssssss.

Matt DC, Friday, 26 February 2016 12:23 (ten years ago)

Good stuff.

Thomas of Britain (Tom D.), Friday, 26 February 2016 12:46 (ten years ago)

Looks like Poch has got his priorities sorted and fielded a pretty young team against a strong Dortmund side tonight.

groovypanda, Thursday, 10 March 2016 17:54 (ten years ago)

Think It's kind of a pity that he's not gone absolutely full-tilt at this tbh, good experience for the champs league next year.

Lovely treat having these two games one after the other tonight

Windsor Davies, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:02 (ten years ago)

Champions League next year not assured yet though so that has to be first priority.

groovypanda, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:13 (ten years ago)

Fucking hammer shot from Mkhitaryan. Far be it from me to cast aspersions on the relative merits of Tom Carroll and Josh Onomah but we're getting fucking twatted here.

Matt DC, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:17 (ten years ago)

Ugh Robbie Savage. Shame no Gundogan. Weigl has been great this season.

Nice shot by Derek.

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:17 (ten years ago)

Sweet.

I'll be disappointed if it turns out there's no fan song for him to the tune of MIA's Galang

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:32 (ten years ago)

Lol.

I guess we should be happy Aubameyang isn't playing for Arsenal, which in a former era he definitely would be.

Robbie Savage's belligerent insistence that Eric Dier is all that would be required to stem the tide is more annoying than the goal.

Matt DC, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:35 (ten years ago)

Blimey p high there

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:36 (ten years ago)

Reus free kick p wide and p high - Savage "good technique"

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:38 (ten years ago)

Lol he really is obsessed with Dier

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:40 (ten years ago)

The amount of space...

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:42 (ten years ago)

Loathe to admit it for all sorts of reasons but robbie savage basically otm that if poch wanted to rest his best players he'd have been better off doing it against villa, could send the youth team out and come away with 3 points on Saturday.

Windsor Davies, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:43 (ten years ago)

Imagine how much of a clown he'd look if they somehow lost that though.

Loving Thomas Tuchel's 1995 eurorave puffa jacket by the way. I hope he was blasting out Technohead's I Want To Be A Hippy to get the team all amped up before the game.

Matt DC, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:49 (ten years ago)

When tuchel was at Mainz saw one game where he'd obviously decided the dugout was too far from the pitch cos he was sat in an actual deckchair in the technical area.

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 18:54 (ten years ago)

Should have been two

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:09 (ten years ago)

Pen surely???

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:10 (ten years ago)

Just seen the Utd team. Fellaini starts which guarantees a shit game but also that Utd will score from a corner.

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:23 (ten years ago)

That was beautiful

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:28 (ten years ago)

Wow

Ecomigrant gnomics (darraghmac), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:29 (ten years ago)

idg poch's plan am I not supposed to watch this game

ogmor, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:29 (ten years ago)

sounds like I shd go and find a clip of that third goal huh

drive me to a girly rave (DJ Mencap), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:34 (ten years ago)

Yeh it was a nice one - Aubamayang 1st touch, the final ball and the finish all beautiful. Premier league so weird and shit quality this season, it's a shame that the only English team in European competition who have been impressive just gave up right at the moment they came to play someone good.

brume escape (Blandford Forum), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:36 (ten years ago)

poch is a cunt for this

r|t|c, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:37 (ten years ago)

welp not quite goal of the season as Clive Allen claimed but p undeniable aye

drive me to a girly rave (DJ Mencap), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:37 (ten years ago)

Hummels has been so smooth tonight.

pandemic, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:41 (ten years ago)

#freeshinji

Matt DC, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:42 (ten years ago)

tbh spurs could win the prem this season, if they do so it will be the biggest thing in forever for the team and everyone will remember it for a long, long time.

if they were to win the Europa league this season - obviously they won't now - in about ten years people would be like "didn't spurs win the Europa league once?"

Cornelius Pardew (jim in glasgow), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:42 (ten years ago)

Ah idgaf about the uefa if it shores up CL qualification this season.

But I would like our second string to be better than this.

But idk Dortmund a p good template for how we could have possession and also be actually effective so yknow learn from it I guess.

Ecomigrant gnomics (darraghmac), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:43 (ten years ago)

A good template in the same way Barcelona were a good template for Arsenal

brume escape (Blandford Forum), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:45 (ten years ago)

who is going to play the pointless and soul-crushing second leg

ogmor, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:45 (ten years ago)

Yeah but in arsenes first full season

Ecomigrant gnomics (darraghmac), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:45 (ten years ago)

on the sidelines poch smirks. if this don't convince facking levy to cough up for scott parker nothing will

r|t|c, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:48 (ten years ago)

I'm just annoyed with Spurs cos this match was supposed to be the rich delicious crab lasagne with champagne velouté before the fridge cold ginsters of five past eight

brume escape (Blandford Forum), Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:52 (ten years ago)

I feel bad about mocking Reus's hair for so long now that he's decided to turn himself into Alex Turner.

Matt DC, Thursday, 10 March 2016 19:57 (ten years ago)

Do me a favour
