Messi-like run from Reus, played in Derek beautifully, touched it round Casillas and then with an open goal he hit it lazily and is didn't cut far enough, back off the post

Blandford Forum, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:10 (twelve years ago)

He has had 4 decent chances tonight

Blandford Forum, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:11 (twelve years ago)

jallet is to this psg what rainha is to bayern

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:13 (twelve years ago)

psg just need to shift 10 yards forward because every time chelsea retain possession they are one short pass from the edge of the penalty area

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:14 (twelve years ago)

Touch of the Fellainis about Bale whenever I've seen him against high quality opposition this season

Blandford Forum, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:20 (twelve years ago)

Lucas Moura wearing the hangdog air of a man who knows it's his fuck-up that will send Chelsea through

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:23 (twelve years ago)

Good move Laurent

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:26 (twelve years ago)

Gah

Yuri Bashment (ShariVari), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:29 (twelve years ago)

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:29 (twelve years ago)

Inevitable though.

Yuri Bashment (ShariVari), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:29 (twelve years ago)

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:29 (twelve years ago)

lol what a shit goal after a series of aimless punts

two bunny rabbits on mushrooms singing Proclaimers songs (onimo), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:29 (twelve years ago)

inevitable because psg have been defending far too deep

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:30 (twelve years ago)

Ba had about five touches there

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:30 (twelve years ago)

looked like he hit that off his own standing leg

anonanon, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:32 (twelve years ago)

get a load of this timewasting

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:33 (twelve years ago)

bale was really good vs sevilla and in the first leg vs dortmund

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:33 (twelve years ago)

not so good vs atleti or barca but baby steps

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:34 (twelve years ago)

worst club

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:36 (twelve years ago)

Fellainiesque in that his touch seems noticeably more leaden than others

Blandford Forum, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:37 (twelve years ago)

PSG mugged themselves really

twistent consistent (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:38 (twelve years ago)

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:39 (twelve years ago)

Rangers > Greece 2004 > the other team in Escape To Victory >>>>> Chelsea

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:39 (twelve years ago)

Are we supposed to like this PSG team? Fuck em' imo

Number None, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:40 (twelve years ago)

I do like them anyway, but surely tonight it's got to be relative

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:43 (twelve years ago)

don't particularly like psg but thiago silva & verratti are two of my favourite players

tonight is their fault though, should have done far more wit their possesion in the first half, cavani was shit

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:43 (twelve years ago)

The silver lining is that Liverpool-Chelsea is between the two legs of the semi-final

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:44 (twelve years ago)

Keane's hair's looking a lot better these days. There's always something not quite right about it - the front sits badly - but this is an improvement imo.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:47 (twelve years ago)

hes always had hair like an 8 year old boy, now with greying temples

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:50 (twelve years ago)

finally got round to watching that vieria / keane programme 'best of enemies', worth seeing

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:51 (twelve years ago)

real were so so shit tonight. missing ronaldo (but he was there shouting from the bench)but you'd expect better from them. dortmund should've won really. heaps of chances. bale was crap alright but hardly the worst offender. isco was terrible, he runs exactly like ronaldo with the little flappy arms prance but has half his brain.

everyday sheeple (Michael B), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 20:55 (twelve years ago)

those ITV docs are pretty good in general. Even the Ian Wright one surprisingly enough. His evil stepdad made him face the wall when MOTD was on!

Number None, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 21:03 (twelve years ago)

madrid seem to have that same complacency after an easy first leg that bayern showed vs arsenal last season, although ancelotti's credentials in the really big games at madrid remain unproven

if atleti go through then half the sf teams will be attritional counterattackers, so madrid at least provide something more expansive

chelsea remain the desiccated maggots in the baklava of elite european football

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 8 April 2014 21:39 (twelve years ago)

lol

dan m, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 01:44 (twelve years ago)

Fucking shit pair of results last night, hate both clubs

Eats like Elvis, shits like De Niro (Tom D.), Wednesday, 9 April 2014 07:59 (twelve years ago)

i dont mind the real one but the chelsea win bugs me. two shitty stoke-esque goals to win the tie as well.

everyday sheeple (Michael B), Wednesday, 9 April 2014 09:29 (twelve years ago)

Would be tough to argue they were not two goals better though. PSG were pretty awful for the last hour and Chelsea should arguably have scored more, however inelegantly.

Yuri Bashment (ShariVari), Wednesday, 9 April 2014 09:36 (twelve years ago)

Yeah it was a terrible bottling by PSG, they can't complain.

What gets me is that Chelsea's run just goes on and on, no matter how badly they run themselves. That's eleven straight years of some significant success. Even when they did fail they went and won the Europa League instead. My worry is that at some point they're going to become an actual big club and there'll be no getting rid of them.

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 09:43 (twelve years ago)

Yeah PSG really choked probably convinced themselves that they just had to leave possession to Chelsea and wait it out. Still think Paris should have won but Blanc screwed up by making the team play against its nature

licorice oratorio (baaderonixx), Wednesday, 9 April 2014 09:56 (twelve years ago)

Dortmund were fantastic to watch last night although the goals they scored came from monumental Madrid fuck ups whereas they squandered all the many chances they created from good play. Well, I say they but I really mean Derek.

Alonso v lucky not to get a red card for an obvious foul while already on a yellow.

Think I'll go with barca v atleti tonight the first leg was much better than I expected. Is Costa fit?

pandemic, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 10:14 (twelve years ago)

I don't think i'll ever stop hating Chelsea, especially a Jose Chelsea and especially one that does better in Europe than it ever should. I didn't see last night but shame on PSG. Zlatan deserves more.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 13:58 (twelve years ago)

there is always that ship of theseus aspect to chelsea, most of the components shift from year to year but they are still chelsea, irremediably, in a way that can't be attirbuted to the numinous presence of juy tuy and lamps alone

ac milan had something similar but it's gone

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Wednesday, 9 April 2014 15:43 (twelve years ago)

uh Barca playing with their 4 midfielders (busquets, xavi, cesc, iniesta) so I guess Neymar will be playing from the right again which never really works.

pandemic, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 17:59 (twelve years ago)

rumours were cesc would be playing false 9 then messi off the right and neymar left

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Wednesday, 9 April 2014 18:01 (twelve years ago)

ooh that would be more interesting. haven't seen much of bartra wonder how him and masch will do.

pandemic, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 18:04 (twelve years ago)

iniesta is left, neymar on right looks like. no costa

pandemic, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 18:47 (twelve years ago)

bottler webb is the ref FFS

pandemic, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 18:48 (twelve years ago)

koke 1-0

pandemic, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 18:51 (twelve years ago)

doesn't change that much for barca i guess. neymar and iniesta swapping pos constantly
