Dynamo were also furious about the refereeing of Viktor Shvetsov, a piece on the club's website stating there were "half-a-dozen questionable decisions" and pointing in particular to the incident that led to Andriy Yarmolenko suffering a broken leg. Shakhtar's Brazilian forward Taison was not shown a red card for the foul but Yarmolenko had no doubt about the intent. "I'm sure Tyson specifically wanted to cause me a personal injury," he said. "In a challenge for the ball, he raised his leg and thrust the studs into my thigh."
― nakhchivan, Sunday, 1 September 2013 19:00 (twelve years ago)
his broken leg was later upgraded to "soft tissues injury, bruise and numerous grazes, groin concussion and rectus muscle hurt”

after suarez and higuain it wouldn't exactly be a surprise to see arsenal throw a bid out there but the chance of psg or whoever not exceeding it and ozil choosing arsenal over whoever still seem......less unlikely than they should, but really he can do better than arsenal

What Cadena Cope advanced is true: Arsenal and Real Madrid are close to seal a 45m € + 5m € add-ons deal for Ozil!

Sky Sports News understands that Arsenal are in 'advanced talks' with Real Madrid to sign attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil.
The 24-year-old German has been at the Bernabeu since 2010 having moved from Werder Bremen.
And Ozil could be heading to the Emirates Stadium after Gareth Bale left Tottenham for the Spanish capital for a reported world record fee of £85.3m.
Ozil has played more than 100 games for Real who beat off competition from Arsenal and Manchester United to sign their man following the World Cup in South Africa.
But now the Gunners are close to securing the player they wanted three years ago in a deal reportedly worth £42.5m.

there is precedent in that robinho left on the last day after getting alienated by being treated like shit by madrid during the (abortive) attempt to get ronaldo, and ozil is reported as being annoyed ('stormed off' after being subbed vs malaga)
differences....city could pay overblown fee and huge wages, lesser player, less integral to madrid in recent seasons, even with bale/isco/ronaldo there will still be plenty of games for ozil, he wasn't being overtly negged during the bale transfer process
there are about five layers of implausbility to be passed before he ends up at arsenal if madrid do let him go
― nakhchivan, Sunday, 1 September 2013 21:10 (twelve years ago)
Modric too tho
I mean idk they could absorb the loss
But yeah arsenal idk the main issue is surely its not where they need 45m spent is it
― "Asshole Lost in Coughdrop": THAT'S a story (darraghmac), Sunday, 1 September 2013 21:20 (twelve years ago)
Ozil to Arsenal is a perfect continuation of Wengers momentum referenced in the title. Would be seriously impressed if they pull it off.
Also, silly, silly Madrid.

Also, wtf at Moyes chasing Fabregas down the rabbit hole all summer when he just could have picked up Ozil
― In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 1 September 2013 21:40 (twelve years ago)
Who's your English team LBI? I thought it was Arsenal but recently it reads like you're a Utd fan?
― Ismael Klata, Sunday, 1 September 2013 21:43 (twelve years ago)
Ozil to arse makes no sense whatsoever but pleased to have him in the league tbh.
― ewar woowar (or something), Sunday, 1 September 2013 21:48 (twelve years ago)
It's always been Arsenal and Utd, which seemed to be possible for a foreigner. But it's been Utd for some years now. The missus family being Utd helped in that respect. And RVP sealed the deal. I have great sympathy for Arsenal, but it's Utd. Even though they are shite atm.
― In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 1 September 2013 21:49 (twelve years ago)
Or something, that's what's so great about it: it doesn't make sense, but it's great nonetheless.

Haha!
England: The Ongoing Utopia that is Arsenal. Team that comes closest to being a Mark Rothko or Barnett Newman painting, in it's effort to become one flowing organism of euphoric and zen-like perfection, yet somehow always manage to end up like a Pollock, or worse, Francis Bacon. In theory the best club ever, but it never materializes. There aim of how to play football unrealistically high given their quality, but I without any sarcasm I praise them for dreaming on and keep trying every year.
And I still stand by every word of that! I just got tired of the tantrism and just wanted an orgasm already ffs
