pretty stonking investment on illaramendi, although i guess his type don't really grow on trees and rmad have spent £25m on sergio ramos before and such

wonder what will become of jese

r|t|c, Friday, 12 July 2013 13:03 (thirteen years ago)

Is everyone familiar with this Illaramendi character but me?

Ismael Klata, Friday, 12 July 2013 13:09 (thirteen years ago)

I'm trying to row back from global footy knowledge so's I can regain a sense of childlike wonder at the world cup. Banana shots, 3-5-2, pretty fans, it'll be corking.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 12 July 2013 13:32 (thirteen years ago)

I'll be seeking out non-league streams this season by way of preparation

Ismael Klata, Friday, 12 July 2013 13:33 (thirteen years ago)

at least it's Stoke up first day at any rate

I can't take much more of this. I am literally at snapping point.

Snapping Point, OR 97396

Ismael Klata, Friday, 12 July 2013 13:59 (thirteen years ago)

he must have malfunctioned during this bit

"We're on with targets that we are chasing at this moment in time. At this moment in time and there are people we are actively chasing. At this moment in time we're happy with how things are going."

Chelsea are now slight favourites for the title (basically a three-way neck-and-neck with them edging it in a few places)

Ismael Klata, Friday, 12 July 2013 14:17 (thirteen years ago)

Liverpool ahead of Spurs for some reason too

o you were doing an alphabet joke. i get it now, but stand by what i said.

Fanois och Alexander (Merdeyeux), Friday, 12 July 2013 21:34 (thirteen years ago)

that graph is a bit out this year, thanks to Derek, Luis's radio show, and getting Stoke first up

Ismael Klata, Friday, 12 July 2013 21:39 (thirteen years ago)

apparently we now want bernard instead of derek. good to see a british spine still important.

Shamrock Shoe (LocalGarda), Friday, 12 July 2013 21:53 (thirteen years ago)

Nard and Rodgers back together, good times

Ismael Klata, Friday, 12 July 2013 22:02 (thirteen years ago)

once they sign another top striker, at last luis is free.

Fanois och Alexander (Merdeyeux), Friday, 12 July 2013 23:38 (thirteen years ago)

At his official presentation, Mkhitaryan said Dortmund’s recent success helped him make the decision.

“Liverpool have a great past,” he said. “But Borussia Dortmund has a great present.

“I made this decision with my heart.”

Four players available for all comers apparently, parker, livermore, thudd and ekotto.

Headscratch over ekotto, and tbh livermore/thudd have their uses in a squad game

dub job deems (darraghmac), Saturday, 13 July 2013 00:23 (thirteen years ago)

v easy in what sense?

Chris, Saturday, 13 July 2013 01:02 (thirteen years ago)

I'd say everyone has been getting it easy, not much has happened.

'I believe that the council made a decision that they did not want a hedge fund running Coventry City Football Club,' added Coventry's chief executive.

'For political reasons. This is a socialist council. They couldn't come to terms that there was an uber-capitalist - ie a hedge fund - running the club.

'I don't think that sat well with them. They they tried to wrestle control of the club away from SISU by pushing for, and getting, an administration order on the club.

'But it was such a foolhardy scheme that it was never going to work.

'It's easy to blame a hedge-fund. Secretive, money-making - all the usual straplines you'd see to describe a hedge-fund.'

Things you do for ILF: passing Livingston stadium earlier, I see they're about to kick off a friendly against Wolves. The sheer unlikelihood means that that's where I've been the past couple of hours. Risky choice for the boy's first game, but hopefully it won't stick.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 14:54 (thirteen years ago)

Young Ince turning down Cardiff is interesting. The bits of Blackpool that aren't his dad must be raging.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 15:14 (thirteen years ago)

Obv they werent big time cardy

dub job deems (darraghmac), Saturday, 13 July 2013 15:21 (thirteen years ago)

Number None, Saturday, 13 July 2013 15:21 (thirteen years ago)

What now

dub job deems (darraghmac), Saturday, 13 July 2013 15:22 (thirteen years ago)

come on - it was the All Stars, nobody beats the All Stars

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 15:23 (thirteen years ago)

not just any All Stars either, but the Singha All Stars

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 15:25 (thirteen years ago)

I didn't realise the Shankly Shield was up for grabs today - might make Suarez think twice with any luck

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 17:15 (thirteen years ago)

so don't keep me in suspense, how bad were the Wolves?

the SI unit of ignorance (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 July 2013 18:37 (thirteen years ago)

Oh you were alright, you might've found your level. It's hard to tell from a friendly but you were comfortably better than Livingston. Sako looked good, busy and up for it, Elokobi as big and lumbering as ever, Davis scored with a decent hit. But I had a three-year-old with me, I didn't see much more than half of it.

Oddly though, flashscores tells me it was 2-1 to Wolves, but you were definitely 3-1 up when we left.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 18:56 (thirteen years ago)

lol Express and Star says it was 2-1

the SI unit of ignorance (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 July 2013 18:57 (thirteen years ago)

well we've already beaten East Fife and Livingston under Kenny J, must be a lock to win the league this season

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 18:59 (thirteen years ago)

sweet :D

the SI unit of ignorance (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 July 2013 18:59 (thirteen years ago)

Flashscores is the bookies' service afaict, if they're paying out on it it must be right. The third must've been chopped off and I didn't notice. Normally you'd get derision from the home fans for that (we went in with your lot of course - you had a good few hundred there for some reason) but tbh it wasn't a particularly needly encounter.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 19:05 (thirteen years ago)

oh damn i forgot all about b.g elokobi. good man to be having back

assume this scots tour is purely for the purposes of easing griffiths in gently

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 July 2013 19:18 (thirteen years ago)

btw the boy was at first apprehensive of the presence of, and subsequently disappointed by the absence of, actual wolves - I think three might be a touch young to expect anyone to get excited about football as such

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 19:34 (thirteen years ago)

Gorgeous George!

Still think Klata's posts on the ILF trolls thread are his finest work

imago, Saturday, 13 July 2013 19:41 (thirteen years ago)

It won't have escaped your notice that Charlton were rampant over St Mirren today - had I been in Paisley today you could've been benefiting from my wisdom instead

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 July 2013 19:50 (thirteen years ago)

few, Gorgeous George was Shari_Vari's

you had Graz_Entertainment, at least

imago, Saturday, 13 July 2013 20:05 (thirteen years ago)
