What bemuses me about Pieters moving to the ~PREMIER LEAGUE, THE HOLIEST OF HOLY'S~ is this:

- Pieters has been injured on and off for two years now
- Played 16 matches in 2011-2012, and only 2 (!) in 2012-2013
- In one of those last two, he got a red, bashed his hand through a glass window, injuring himself for another three months

So HOW does someone at Stoke go "Hmm, that Pieters guy, yeahhhhh let's fork out 3.5million for that guy!"

really love the way the overground trains from shepherd's bush have to perform the most dazzling array of swoops and swirls across innumerate branch-lines, freight sidings and other assorted railway paraphernalia before finally drawing into willesden junction

Used to see the lit Eurostars paring off before Clapham Junction, off to bed down for the night at North Pole. Magical it were.
