Mignolet to LFC official too.

Btw I thought the British window opened July 1, is there anything teams can actually not do until then?

anonanon, Tuesday, 25 June 2013 19:56 (thirteen years ago)

Poor Kuyt: Fenerbahce and Besiktas are ruled out of European competitions for two seasons for match fixing. Steaua got a 2 year probational ban

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 25 June 2013 20:00 (thirteen years ago)

xp

i don't think that players can sign officially for a club until the window has opened but you can do a pre-transfer deal whenever

Tevez 2 Juventus is a massive shock to me - one of these things that gets trailed forever, so much that you mentally write off any chance of it ever happening. Jenas to Inter next.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 25 June 2013 20:35 (thirteen years ago)

xp

yeah but everywhere you look players are holding up shirts, teams are officially announcing them joining etc, not just Reus type pre-contract announcements. July 1 start date seems a bit meaningless

anonanon, Tuesday, 25 June 2013 20:45 (thirteen years ago)

i don't think it matters much once the season has finished tbh, but it must have certain implications re: tapping up players and such. again, it's not like tapping up doesn't happen but at least in principle clubs have a legal recourse if it happens to them

That booby's are HOTTT (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 25 June 2013 20:48 (thirteen years ago)

Manchester City and Juventus have agreed a deal for striker Carlos Tevez to join the Italian side in a transfer worth up to £12m ...
When the fee is combined with wages and bonuses due to Tevez in the final year of his contract, City could save £27m.

Cripes. At some point I'm going to have to stop being shocked by these numbers.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 25 June 2013 21:19 (thirteen years ago)

yeah tevez is definitely forego £15m and won't in any way demand a payoff to leave city

Šite New Answers (Nilmar Honorato da Silva), Tuesday, 25 June 2013 21:23 (thirteen years ago)

He is quite literally a curate's egg, is Tevez. Has he actually been a success in England, or not? I couldn't tell you.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 25 June 2013 21:34 (thirteen years ago)

By most people's definitions, yes. He's not been as good as I think he thinks he is, though.

Hamburglar's smiling too (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Tuesday, 25 June 2013 22:01 (thirteen years ago)

Ah he has

should we bin tapping? (darraghmac), Tuesday, 25 June 2013 22:50 (thirteen years ago)

this transfer is idiotic imo, unless there's some ffp thing i'm missing idk why city would even consider it

r|t|c, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 01:45 (thirteen years ago)

tevez considering it is weird enough in itself, i thought his whole plan was take city to the cleaners and then fuck off back home. three years in serie a for money he doesnt need just seems like an unecessary ballache unless he's suddenly been overcome with massive career guilt or something

r|t|c, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 01:52 (thirteen years ago)

Cmon its not like the homesickness wasnt just a joorabchian plot tbh

should we bin tapping? (darraghmac), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 08:17 (thirteen years ago)

ah the simple joys of a carlo image search. that face never gets old

not sure how keenly my dad follows football news but sooner or later he will text me saying "did you hear i got the real madrid job".

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 08:48 (thirteen years ago)

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2013/jun/25/carlo-ancelotti-real-madrid

Ancelotti, a man seemingly able to face down most situations with a raise of his famous eyebrow (according to the journalist Sheridan Bird, the effect is the result of limited movement caused by an elbow in the face from Marco Tardelli).

r|t|c, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 09:13 (thirteen years ago)

everyone played for senrab, they were a better eng u-16 than eng u-16 were

James Ducker ‏@DuckerTheTimes 11h

Tevez fee was £47m.On basis of £17m annual salary that's another £68m over 4 yrs.Minus £9m in fines/lost wages & Juve fee = £93m total bill

Louis Nicollin has rubbished reports of a move for QPR striker Djibril Cisse.

‘Cisse? No, it is out of the question. I don’t want a guy who plays DJ in bars,’ said the Montpellier chief.

Shamrock Shoe (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 09:54 (thirteen years ago)

Shamrock Shoe (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 15:34 (thirteen years ago)

Tommy McTommy (Tom D.), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 15:39 (thirteen years ago)

this is the 2008 liverpool sign bent jpg getting revived right

Šite New Answers (Nilmar Honorato da Silva), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 15:41 (thirteen years ago)

Might it be Benteke? 140-character limit confusion?

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 15:56 (thirteen years ago)

Sounds more likely

Tommy McTommy (Tom D.), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 15:57 (thirteen years ago)

can't see Benteke going anywhere this summer tbh

anonanon, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 16:02 (thirteen years ago)

r|t|c, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 16:08 (thirteen years ago)

Chelsea's Bruma is off to PSV. Am not impressed, but anyone's better than the clowns we had at the back last season I suppose *shrugs*

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 16:25 (thirteen years ago)

not seeing anything on bent, pmac heard nothing yet but ill keep u posted

dj hollingsworth vs dj perry (darraghmac), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 16:36 (thirteen years ago)

Was hoping your revive of the thread would be pouring one out for kingdoms loss of Bruma tbh. To make me feel better.

In other odd news: Cocu wants to bring back yer goalie Gomes, the TD fiercely opposes. Love dat man, but it's not 2005 anymore iirc

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 16:54 (thirteen years ago)

Flat out don't believe bent to Liverpool tbh, this isn't 2011

Third Rate Zoo Keepers With Tenth Rate Minds (Windsor Davies), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 17:02 (thirteen years ago)

other than paying the overly large fee villa are reportedly asking for i don't really know why the notion's sooooo scandalous. have him in as a moderately-paid squad player, don't build a team around him, he will still convert chances

maintain he'll end up at fulham though

r|t|c, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 17:37 (thirteen years ago)

If Liverpool are going to go for the tried and tested out-and-out English no.9 route, can't we have Defoe, we've been linked with him enough too.

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 18:10 (thirteen years ago)

cd've sworn Liverpool had a big target man somewhere on the books last month

That booby's are HOTTT (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 26 June 2013 19:02 (thirteen years ago)

huh bilbao signed benat for 8-10m euro. he was getting linked to the big dogs for double that a few months ago

r|t|c, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 19:07 (thirteen years ago)

That'll never fit him.

So: The Answers (or something), Thursday, 27 June 2013 00:12 (thirteen years ago)

Marca reporting that Suarez and Real have agreed terms

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 27 June 2013 06:29 (thirteen years ago)

liverpool said to be 'furious' but will give him one more chance, he treats em real good when he's not drinking

dj hollingsworth vs dj perry (darraghmac), Thursday, 27 June 2013 10:16 (thirteen years ago)

what does it actually mean if he's in breach of contract?

Shamrock Shoe (LocalGarda), Thursday, 27 June 2013 10:27 (thirteen years ago)

Just heard Oussama Assaidi is off to PSV too, probably on loan.

Le Bateau Ivre, Thursday, 27 June 2013 10:29 (thirteen years ago)

prob s'thing like they dont need to pay him until he goes or can fine him a couple months or whatever's defined.

but

i mean

if his agent has agreed on his behalf, does it even mean anything at all? it's a weak enough security measure

dj hollingsworth vs dj perry (darraghmac), Thursday, 27 June 2013 10:30 (thirteen years ago)

Le Bateau Ivre, Thursday, 27 June 2013 10:31 (thirteen years ago)

suarez will be fearing the sack now i imagine

r|t|c, Thursday, 27 June 2013 10:34 (thirteen years ago)

i'd like to see us signing 12/13 young attacking mid/forwards to fill the suarez vacuum.
