we've got Dicko on the bench who's probly scored more this season than the rest of this team put together, i dunno Deano, maybe roll the dice a little for the last 20 minutes of this relegation decider?
― life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:32 (thirteen years ago)

i'm reading that as "foul - punch - sending off"
― life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:41 (thirteen years ago)
there are still twunts on Facebook et al going "we should never have got rid of McCarthy"

― life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:43 (thirteen years ago)
foul - move head towards face - dive - sent off - 22-man-'brawl' - woeful dispersion

alright Saunders i'll give you that one
― Sarushima baby jive (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 16 April 2013 20:42 (thirteen years ago)
Thanks a bunch Charlton
― Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 16 April 2013 20:46 (thirteen years ago)
9th place Charlton are mathematically not safe from relegation yet :\
― Sarushima baby jive (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 16 April 2013 21:00 (thirteen years ago)
Three games left and fifteen teams in contention for the remaining two slots. Kind of amazing the playoff spots aren't more open tbh.
― Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 16 April 2013 21:03 (thirteen years ago)
Bolton loss today hurts, but other results at least contained the damage. In with a chance!
― Gukbe, Tuesday, 16 April 2013 21:05 (thirteen years ago)
What can I say, their keeper pulled off save of the season. They're shit obviously and they'll finish 20th next season. How much money does their owner have? Will they continue to play that ghastly football?
The hope, presumably, is killing Noodle V right now. Sure you don't want to come chez nous? We really, really have nothing to play for now...except schadenfreude...

i checked the train price on Saturday and reluctantly i'll have to pass. we can do it next season when we stay up cough cough
― Sarushima baby jive (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 16 April 2013 21:19 (thirteen years ago)
I think I speak for the supporters of Charlton and Wolves when I say that Stephen Cunt really is that sort of player and can fuck off, for good
― tsarnaev paleface (imago), Saturday, 20 April 2013 16:17 (thirteen years ago)
who did he fuck up?
― Sarushima baby jive (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 20 April 2013 16:44 (thirteen years ago)
Nearly did our keeper, got a yellow, subbed immediately
― tsarnaev paleface (imago), Saturday, 20 April 2013 19:01 (thirteen years ago)
on the bright side, Karl Henry hit the bar from 45 yards though
― tsarnaev paleface (imago), Sunday, 21 April 2013 00:29 (thirteen years ago)
Hunt's a combative little sod but i wouldn't say he was evil. lucky to have caught a rare glimpse of Henry kicking a ball forward tho.
anyway yesterday i'm like "we're still okay" but this morning i'm thinking we're a bit screwed
― Sarushima baby jive (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 21 April 2013 10:14 (thirteen years ago)
We've all had nights like that tbf
― the gowls are not what they seem (darraghmac), Sunday, 21 April 2013 10:49 (thirteen years ago)
need an absolute minimum of 3 points from Burnley and Brighton, probably need 4, can't see it
― Sarushima baby jive (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 21 April 2013 10:52 (thirteen years ago)
If Brighton can beat Leeds next week then they may 'rest' most of the team for the last game vs your boys NV
― pandemic, Sunday, 21 April 2013 10:53 (thirteen years ago)
i'm banking on Brighton not exerting themselves in that last match, but them not exerting themselves could be enough to get something from us. not confident of beating Burnley at home either.
― Sarushima baby jive (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 21 April 2013 10:55 (thirteen years ago)
mind you, anything could still happen. home draw next week, everything looking finished, then an away romp against Brighton's kids for a last second reprieve.
kinda worried if we stay up that Saunders will keep his job tho.
― Sarushima baby jive (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 21 April 2013 10:56 (thirteen years ago)
Oppet! Fizzles! You nervous?
― tsarnaev paleface (imago), Saturday, 27 April 2013 11:25 (thirteen years ago)
My phone just autocorrected Oppet to Popey. I'll go with the latter henceforth
― tsarnaev paleface (imago), Saturday, 27 April 2013 11:26 (thirteen years ago)
Hello, yes I am. To a quite unsettling degree. I keep thinking back to 2002, when we were in the same situation and drew with Reading. This is the only football team I actually care about and I don't think I actually enjoy football as a thing. I've been thinking about whether it's reactionary, small minded idiocy to insist on supporting one crap club and ignore yr European football and yr modern tactics etc. Is it the equivalent of proudly only listening to oasis? Anyway.
― oppet, Saturday, 27 April 2013 11:58 (thirteen years ago)
I'm heading the same way, with concessions to the Premiership (seven seasons tends to inculcate certain longings...) - not at all the equivalent of Oasis fanship. It's less a sporting contention, a matter of theory and technique (as watching 'top-level' football is for me) and more a communitarian affirmation, a society in microcosm, a my-village-versus-yours, which scratches a different and possibly more satisfying itch
And so...apologies, but today is all about BWP versus Arter and Francis

I'm teaching someone in Hounslow today (currently Acton Town). Will wish fortune upon encountered Bees
