Hulk smash is my actual chosen style within range

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 19:58 (thirteen years ago)

I go for the Kone shin whenever possible

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 19:59 (thirteen years ago)

Rúné shin shurely

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:01 (thirteen years ago)

r|t|c, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:05 (thirteen years ago)

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:06 (thirteen years ago)

You'll be the 6'4" big-nosed guy with the ponytail, right?

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:09 (thirteen years ago)

I SCORED A GOAL FFS

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:12 (thirteen years ago)

turns out i dont really have a lot to say about these

my personal fave is alessandrini at 58 jumping out of nowhere like YEAH BITCH

di maria 55 reminiscent of jon harley all time golazo only without the crucial satisfaction of the pre-cunt run up

wtf was that some other tal ben haim btw

r|t|c, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:17 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah the Alessandrini one is a dilly

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:19 (thirteen years ago)

It's the Talk Ben Haim who plays for Hapoel.

Tal is referred to in UEFA reports as Tal Ben-Haim II

Des Fusils Pour Banter (ShariVari), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:23 (thirteen years ago)

well that's a relief, one less underachiever at loftus rd to worry about

r|t|c, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:27 (thirteen years ago)

Veselenovic #86, Agyemang-Badu #70 or so both worthy of second looks I think.

boxall, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:27 (thirteen years ago)

disappointing the new pope went for Francis I

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:27 (thirteen years ago)

as great as it is a lot of the alessandrini's appeal is probably down to the camera angle tbh, see that high up at the nou camp or whl or wherever as part of a bigger picture and ur likely somewhat robbed of its essential jack-in-the-box glee

r|t|c, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:28 (thirteen years ago)

Veselenovic #86

oh yeah this one wtf did he do there exactly

r|t|c, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:28 (thirteen years ago)

disappointing the new pope went for Francis I

― Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:27 (31 seconds ago) Bookmark

haha yeah why don't they do that

you may now address me as... pope ronaldinho vii

r|t|c, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:31 (thirteen years ago)

The break just after in Bakambu 83 is perfect

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:33 (thirteen years ago)

You don't want perfection though imo, you want a goal you can't see coming. Zlatan is king of these.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:35 (thirteen years ago)

veselinovic is the one i came here to post. very smoothly done by veselinovic. has no right to stick that in.

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:35 (thirteen years ago)

sorry.

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:35 (thirteen years ago)

would like to see the bastos free kick again, technique seemed v unusual.

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:36 (thirteen years ago)

that hassli one needed andy gray

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:36 (thirteen years ago)

bastos fk definitely a goodun, he had a few decent cunts last year

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:37 (thirteen years ago)

3, 2, 1,

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:37 (thirteen years ago)

"a few decent cunts" - starring michel bastos

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:38 (thirteen years ago)

the music and the lack of replays really makes this like having goal after goal rammed into your face

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:39 (thirteen years ago)

yep, i thought for the first few i'd want replays but no it keeps you on your toes

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:40 (thirteen years ago)

belhanda!

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:41 (thirteen years ago)

i didn't know amanda played for brazil - jesus, i only saw her this week.

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:42 (thirteen years ago)

proto nevillegasm in the oscar goal at 8.50

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:44 (thirteen years ago)

i've scored that allesandrini goal too btw gfy

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:45 (thirteen years ago)

that oscar goal is my fave epl one tbh

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:45 (thirteen years ago)

like all of these bicycle kicks are dangerous play

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:46 (thirteen years ago)

that last sideways shuffle from neymar at #32 is something

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:49 (thirteen years ago)

34, sorry

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:50 (thirteen years ago)

he shuffled into the next goal, special talent imo

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:50 (thirteen years ago)

that's that done - now what?

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:51 (thirteen years ago)

idk i'm watching em again

jo has some cheek running off celebrating after #17

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:53 (thirteen years ago)

Oscar goal was CL, you wouldn't get anything that sublime in the epl. Maybe from Suarez.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:54 (thirteen years ago)

For two more months, sob

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:55 (thirteen years ago)

best commentary is #78 obv

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 20:59 (thirteen years ago)

who's this kid meza at 73

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:00 (thirteen years ago)

yamada at 69 is the one tho, callin it

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:02 (thirteen years ago)

belhanda is the best. can't remember what number tho.

Tioc Norris (LocalGarda), Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:04 (thirteen years ago)

no 56, i had it down when i started thread above but i've changed my mind

mister borges (darraghmac), Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:07 (thirteen years ago)

concur that trying to plough through this whole thing and then pick a fav is completely numbing. On a third viewing, and my #1 is changing every 3 or 4 goals right now. Jozy Altidore at 70 is a fucking doozy, he really makes a mug of that second defender

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:37 (thirteen years ago)

actually that's 71, soz

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:37 (thirteen years ago)

I know what you mean WD, I'm watching that YouTube while trying to compile a Miles Davis ballot by skipping through spotify, and it's basically the same thing. I feel like I'm single-handedly proving that modern life = no room for contemplation.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:42 (thirteen years ago)

There was none of this at the White Horse Final, they had two goals and only Abide With Me to sing, and they were happy.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:44 (thirteen years ago)

Gotta try not to gripe though, most def. would not trade these enlightened times w/ youtube, spotify and the like for the days when I only owned Up The Bracket, Enema of the State and the 8 Mile OST on CD and my footy highlights came from my VHS copies of Gary Lineker World Cup 11 and Aston Villa - '97-'98 in review. These are the days of miracle and wonder, my friend.

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 23 March 2013 21:53 (thirteen years ago)

ok, just saw them all again. mealla (#2) the best one. just...how. why.

delete (imago), Saturday, 23 March 2013 22:41 (thirteen years ago)

Video didn't include this so it's invalid

Number None, Sunday, 24 March 2013 23:06 (thirteen years ago)

oofters, touch of the PES about that

cozen, Sunday, 24 March 2013 23:17 (thirteen years ago)

It's a fair cop; that's up there behind Ibby's imo

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 24 March 2013 23:18 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah, definitely a stunner. Like Ibra's bicycle kick, it has that element of joyful spontaneity about it. Dunno how I feel about it as goal of the season tho. Rare as a hen's tooth and clearly a wonderful physical feat, but perhaps lacking a little of the wtf magic of some of those others? idk. not so open to that criticism as ur average bifter from the halfway line, which just happens too often to be worth anything more than a shrug these days, but i don't think it beats some of the higher-ups on that other vid

Windsor Davies, Monday, 25 March 2013 00:24 (thirteen years ago)

would it effortlessly sum up the spirit of ILF if I said my prevailing thought (esp in the first half of the vid) was that there are a lot of crappy keepers out there

congratulations on yet another award and i loved your baseball cap (DJ Mencap), Tuesday, 26 March 2013 10:37 (thirteen years ago)

WD otm tho, this is still a numbing watch... starts feeling a bit trippy after a while. when you see this many at this rate you (or I) start to break them down into genres (long range cuntings/ridic pinpoint multiple passing moves/unrepeatable circus tricks) and it seems kinda off to try and compare one type to another. this prolly says more about me tho

congratulations on yet another award and i loved your baseball cap (DJ Mencap), Tuesday, 26 March 2013 10:41 (thirteen years ago)

Feeling that. Also, you look for ever-flimsier excuses to discount them:

  • keeper off line →easy
  • went in middle of goal →shank
  • hit with leading foot →aesthetically displeasing
  • scored in friendly →actually shite

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 26 March 2013 10:51 (thirteen years ago)

yeah it's like what I imagine handling hopelessly oversubscribed job applications to be like, where you end up shitcanning candidates on the basis of a displeasing signature
