apparently the match fitness cheat only works when your about to go to kick off

Tried it, didn't do nowt, sounds like bollocks to me

it says once youre about to kick off you change your players match fitness to 29634 and it should work

if players get the ball in their own half take on 7 players and chip the keeper for a wonder goal i will totally try it!

No not from wherever, but the ball somehow ends up with the player I adjusted that number of, and that player scores

it is feb 1st. barca have drawn twice (once against us) and lost once. we have drawn once (v. barca) and lost once, having played 1 game less.

but yeah it takes away a bit of the fun. would be better if it was a guarantee you win cheat but you only beat the top teams by 1 or 2 goals in a 5-3 thriller or something

if you want to just win every game there is already an in built reality cheat called 'managing barcelona'.

ok i cannot sell kaka for the fucking life of me. he has another 3 years left of a 10m/per year contract, at which time he'll be 34. he already cannot make my first team and offering him to clubs for £0 has... everyone going 'ummm we have a wage structure, plz stop bugging us'.

i mean i can afford to keep him around, the money isnt the trouble. but he's good enough to not put in my reserves, not good enough to make my first team and just in the way of lots of youngsters like canales who i should play more but i am busy trying to put kaka in the shop window/get my moneys worth.

when I had a world-beating team of 23-year-olds in FM09 I did the thing of spending tens of millions on a youth team, but that game's combination of it being so difficult to loan out players and top players not really declining until their mid-30s kind of ruined it.

This thread is making an entry into FM12 so very tempting, but aaaah I'm already ridiculously busy without adding the required five hours of FMing a day to everything.

Sam, can't you kick up a controversy, speak to him and tell him he sucks, transfer list him, offer him to clubs every week etc. Make his life miserable. If he's still pulling a Bogarde and is fine with being benched for years to come raking in the cash, go for the editor and injure him for life imho

also half the fun of fm is feeling sweary until you figure out a way to sort things out.

ended up being 43+kaka and 9m p/y AND then he got injured for 4 months, but i already prefer mata. he can play anywhere, he counts towards my homegrown which is v. precious considering i'm going to let adan, alonso and arbeloa go at the end of the season, he scored 1 v. barca and 2 v. valencia.

i wish there was a way i could abolish my c team. i have absolutely no use for it. i have a first+second team, then castilla for guys 17ish-20 and an u19s for players 17ish and under.

my yuts just came back from 2-0 in the cup to win 4-2 so fuck it, this is too easy and i'm just gonna sell di maria, benzema, alonso, surin etc. and try to work towards something. i am 9 points ahead of barca, who have cocked right up this season (they have had 1 big signing since i started and that was a forward, no forward looking to replace puyol or abidal or xavi etc.)

Just over half of the first season with PSV. Second in the league, 5 points behind Twente. Ajax is only 7th though ~ biggest evidence of the great realistic improvements that were made! ;)

I'm really struggling against the small clubs in the league though, like the bottom six I can only win 1-0 or 2-1 if not drawing or even losing. Effing annoying. I know I'm doing something wrong tactically but I can't figure out what it is.

do you have full familiarity? until you do players may not respond

Like once a month (well not now my laptop hates me) when my familiarity takes an obvious bump up is when I change one thing to my tactics, and then try to get it to move back up so i can slowly turn them into a pass-and-move demon.

currently wondering about playing just one centre half. i think, given time and full backs who know when to stay back, i could make it work and put a guy in the hole behind my 2 forwards.

I just have a tweaked tactic. Playing 4-2-3-1 mostly, 4-1-4-1 against the weaker ones. But even with the former they still can't break the defensive wall down.

oh the left hand side of your tactics screen, where you can save and change between set tactics, it will have a blue bar saying how familiar your team is to that set tactic, depending on how often they play that tactic and what they do in training/match preparation.

you can use fmrte to change your 3 set tactics to full familiarity btw

under 'match preparation' on your fmrte team screen set everything to 100
