I think what makes the Rooney overhead kick better than the Youssef Msakni one is that Rooney hits it straight from a Nani cross from miles off. Overhead kicks are kinda the wondergoal for people with no imagination but that rooney goal is up there with the best of them.

There's a compilation of stuff predating the competition's origins in 1970, which can be summarised as Jimmy Greaves Was A Fucking Beast. Third goal here.
