he's mortified about what's been made about it and that he was caught. the repeated 'im very sorry, not for myself, but for others' is absolutely head achign in its insincerity.

i feel like he kind of turned it around by the end, the stuff about behavior that needs reconstructing and stuff like that. i don't feel like he's insincere because i kind of believe he wants to resign in protest at andy grey being sacked, & is too conceited want to keep his job at all cost

OTM (except I wouldn't feel sympathy). He comes across as someone who actually *hates* women. And in the 'smash it' clip, he just comes across as desperately trying to ingratiate himself with Redknapp etc.
