LEEDS have been dubbed the Pamela Anderson of English football by the man spearheading a £50million takeover of the club.
Dubai-based investment bank GFH Capital remain committed to a buyout of the Yorkshire giants and hope to have the keys to Elland Road by the end of this month after a series of delays.
And GFH Capital chief executive David Haigh, a Leeds fan, reckons his club reminds him of a young Pammi when she shot to stardom in sexy seaside drama Baywatch.
Haigh said: “Leeds is like a young Pamela Anderson. It’s in great shape, with superb assets and a great future ahead of her.
“Like any big acquisition we have to be thorough and that’s the process we’re going through right now. We’re almost there and, hopefully, within three weeks it could be done. We are working incredibly hard to get the deal done but there are procedures and rules which must be followed.”
Haigh added: “We will put finance and resources into the club. We are a Middle Eastern bank and we do things sensibly.”

Sure, Leeds United may need to have its anus redyed, but it is still a great club.

There should be a thread for cringeworthy examples of boardroom types attempting to talk the language of football fans, but this is a masterpiece of the genre.
I like to think he says the exact same thing about every acquisition they make.

Cawley, an unemployed labourer, stood in the dock wearing a blue T-shirt that exposed a "LUFC" tattoo on his neck and a Leeds United club crest on his right arm.
The court heard that he had been the subject of two football banning orders, which he had breached four times.

I noticed that the notable football chairman Adam Pearson is involved with the Leeds Utd circus for the 2nd time (the first was before he became involved with Hull when they were almost extinct). That makes him the 2nd worst ever famous Town fan next to David Peace, who whilst he was plugging The Damned Utd shite movie said "a draw would be a good result" when we were playing the white shite for the first time in decades.

― calzino, Wednesday, 15 May 2019 21:34 (seven years ago)
the arrogance from some Leeds fans though, because they've had the measure over Derby this season - some of them already talking about Wembley. A bit like when we were up against those other arrogant "maaaasive club" cunts, Wednesday.
― calzino, Wednesday, 15 May 2019 22:02 (seven years ago)
Sad that despite the best efforts of local media to talk up Bielsa's maverick genius qualities (every fucking week) - he's turned out another mediocre failure. That is very bitter pill to swallow.
― calzino, Wednesday, 15 May 2019 22:14 (seven years ago)
he is a maverick genius. just a flawed one.

185 days sat at the top of the Champo
.. and they fucked it up..
2 - 0 up in the play off semi final
..and they fucked it up...loool
I've been reading that one of Bielsa's major weaknesses is his inability to rotate a squad and too many key players were often knackered during the 2nd half of the season.

― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Thursday, 16 May 2019 07:47 (seven years ago)
I'm sure there is something quite cool about Bielsa and he's a believer in a world of dull pragmatists. But once you throw your lot in with that vile revenant of the north, then people will not give you a fair hearing, alas. But I wouldn't have it any other way - the overrated arrogant prick!
