Do you have a 'style'?

A type of thing you go for when taking pictures, an aesthetic, a theme, an approach to framing or processing that makes your photos identifiably by you?

If you do, how did you get to that? How rigid is it?

I appreciate that this may be easier for people to answer about the work of others than about their own work; I have no idea if I have a 'style'.

yeah, i do: no or few people, no foliage or vegetation, angles and lines, focus on form. symmetrical.
sometimes it seems to rigid. like maybe there should be a face in one of my photos, just once.
i don't know how i got there beyond trial and error, picking out the pictures i (and others) gravitate towards

i guess i don't think of myself as having a 'style' (i have taken like zero pictures) but if i did it would be the opposite!

people people people!

two months pass...

i think my problem is i have no style, or at least never a focused mind on what i really want to photograph when i go out with my camera.

i do like urban and architecture a lot, bridges and abandoned places are also something i end up taking lots of photos of.

Depth of field as shallow as possible, natural light; unposed people seems to be my thing.

Depth of field and natural light is because I'm up late and live in Scotland so have been shooting wide open in dim light pretty much always.

yeah unposed people is something i've really been striving for. I don't normally do people at all, but when it's done with people acting naturally you can get some fascinating results. Some of my best pictures in fact.

Spent yesterday assisting a professional photographer for a good chunk of the day at work, which was really enlightening. Having previously been totally cynical about flash I know quite fancy getting a couple and experimenting...
