western wisconsin, on thanksgiving.

fact: it has long been a dream of a mine to write a picaresque novel that somehow tied into the tunguska event

not_goodwin, Wednesday, 8 December 2010 23:27 (fifteen years ago)

x-post, tiny bit on the edges.

I'm sure the 22 hour wait for the answer was worth it :)

leo tldrstoy (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 10 December 2010 09:11 (fifteen years ago)

Sorry, just realised we've been back for months and I'm not showing these things off.

leo tldrstoy (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 10 December 2010 09:21 (fifteen years ago)

These are great Almanac, are you on flickr, wouldn't mind looking through the rest!

not_goodwin, Friday, 10 December 2010 11:04 (fifteen years ago)

Ah yes sorry: http://www.flickr.com/photos/54844770@N08/sets/72157625147567166/

We took 8,000 but there's only about 130 in the flickr set.

leo tldrstoy (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 10 December 2010 11:14 (fifteen years ago)

Just 8,000? Could've made an effort :)

Cheers, will have a look.

not_goodwin, Friday, 10 December 2010 11:29 (fifteen years ago)

I'll do a couple more here at some point, when I've found ones that are interesting to other people. Most of them are just sunsets and zebras' arses.

leo tldrstoy (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 10 December 2010 11:31 (fifteen years ago)

RR, Friday, 10 December 2010 19:39 (fifteen years ago)

Woah, is that a bendy track or a moving exposure?

btw thanks guys! The bloke in the hat has got impala shit on his tongue. He posed like that and we're still not sure why. The feller in the background was sick of waiting for us and went up a tree, as you do.

leo tldrstoy (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 10 December 2010 20:31 (fifteen years ago)

The bloke in the hat has got impala shit on his tongue.

I just thought it was another guys head in the background and it was a composition fluke!

not_goodwin, Friday, 10 December 2010 21:12 (fifteen years ago)

Also, polar bear in the desert = global warming fact!

not_goodwin, Friday, 10 December 2010 21:13 (fifteen years ago)

That's the Sowa Pan, a huge giant massive bloody wad of salt in the middle of nowhere except it has polar bears.

leo tldrstoy (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 10 December 2010 21:17 (fifteen years ago)

Looked at your set today, so many great shots and after i calmed down from getting insanely jealous, i promised myself i'd do this within a year.
How long were you there?

not_goodwin, Friday, 10 December 2010 21:36 (fifteen years ago)

A month, but about 2/3 of that was on safaris. Sooo worth doing. I can give you loads and loads of advice btw.

leo tldrstoy (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 10 December 2010 21:41 (fifteen years ago)

Please do, there's a million sites out there, but it'd be better getting info from someone who's actually done it.
Ive added you as a contact on flickr.

not_goodwin, Friday, 10 December 2010 22:21 (fifteen years ago)

Ace. ilxmail me through this account too, if you like. I'll do you a quick rundown in a few days (going away this weekend) and you can keep flinging questions at me.

Mrs Adam Surname (Schlafsack), Friday, 10 December 2010 22:33 (fifteen years ago)

Woah, is that a bendy track or a moving exposure?
