Game engines

I installed the early access version of Unreal Engine 5. It took me less than 30 minutes to create a functional performer prototype running at 60 FPS and rendering billions of triangles. Game engine progress in the past decade is an extremely underreported story in both the gaming and broader technology press. Especially since the two most popular engines are free.

I'm enjoying reading what Nanite will and won't work with (no to transparency, not great with foliage etc.) Nanite actually IS future tech, but even future tech has limitations.
