Obv unrelated to the above, and I'm not really asking if anyone knows anyone etc; this was just the closest I found to a thread for a general question about mlb.com itself:
If you are on a desktop computer and click the "Scores" link in the top bar, is the date widget at the top of the scoreboard page one day off for you? Right now, mine shows the date "June 10, 2019", while the page clearly shows the results for June 11, 2019. The one-off error persists on clicking the left or right arrow for earlier or later dates, and then the discrepancy shows in the widget vs the URL as well.
No big deal, obviously, I just found it strange that such an error can persist for weeks without anyone noticing, and wondered if it could be clumsy timezone treatment or something (I am located in Norway). I did send customer support a headsup on this some time ago, and I'm sure you can guess what happened: Several hours later I get a helpful link explaining what to do if I'm having trouble streaming games on my connected devices. *eyeroll*

fwiw, i cannot reproduce this error in chrome or firefox. maybe clear cache or something?

Nope, still off. No matter, though, if it looks right in the US, at least that helps a bit with explaining how it can have been that way for so long. Thanks for doing a test!

Also, when I click the date widget, and select a date in the calendar, the date displayed afterwards is (unsurprisingly by now) still wrong, ie not the date I clicked, but the games shown are for the date I clicked. Oh well.

Btw: Same thing happens in multiple browsers, on different computers, while logged in or logged out. Again, no big problem, but it does leave me mystified & curious.

I guess a plausible explanation could be that the widget display is timezone-aware in some way while the rest is not, so that when a dated URL is entered or a date selected in the calendar on my computer, say 11 June 2019, this is on as the time point 2019-06-11 00:00:00 in my time zone, which is converted to Eastern time 2019-06-10 18:00:00 and displayed as date only. The problem would then not show up in any regular US time zone.
