Dr. Phil,
I am currently in a relationship with a woman for the past 11 months and we have a child on the way. My girlfriend has a child from a previous relationship and we are having a difficult time trying to get her son to stop playin with his diapers. When he plays with his diapers he tends to rip them apart and if there are fesces in his diaper he will play with it and rub it all over himself and his crib. He is almost 3 yrs old. what should we do to address this issue with him and get him to understand its not right to do those things. What type of corrective behavior should we imply that would not jeopardize his personality and the way he views his mother and I?
I appreciate your time concerning this issue and i hope to hear a response on this topic with your opinions.
Thank You,
Jeremy Guker

jeremy guker, Sunday, 10 September 2006 12:58 (seventeen years ago) link

jeremy, you are correct in seeking the proper corrective behavior which will match the individual personality inside this child so as not to harm his future psyche. First we need to know the color and texture of the feces. We'll also need the mother to post here, so we can gather info on the child's "conflict centers."

two weeks pass...
Dr Phil - we have a family of 4. Myself, my husband, a 17 yr old daughter and a 16 yr old son. Our family shows very little respect for each other on many levels - from telling each other to "shutup" to constant bickering over unimportant topics. It seems as if someone is angry as someone else all the time. There is very little harmony in our home life. We are an otherwise normal family and our kids are well-adjusted and good students. I want so much to break this circle of disrespect and I don't know how. Can you help?

This is what you should do. Get a shovel and go into your backyard. Look for the lumpy area near the bushes and dig down a couple feet. There will be a book buried there. I want you to read the book. Twice.

Dr. Phil,
I am 21 years old and i have not had a good life at all. My childhood was really bad and now my adult years are getting bad too. I have no confidence in myself, and i feel very stupid. My biggest problem these days is that i have been seeing a guy now for 3 years and now this guy doesn't even really want to assoicate with me anymore. See 3 years ago i met him at work and we started seeing each other right way things where great, we spent all the time in the world together and did everything there was to do that two new people in a relationship could do, but a month later things started to go down hill. We did do as many things together as we did in the beginning and i started to get upset. He was still there for me and we spent time when we could. Then i moved out on my own and started to have trouble paying things and taking care of responsiblity, so he helped and he paid my bill and did whatever he could for me. Then i messed up everything, i lost my job and for a while was to lazy to get out there and find another one, so he did everyhting, then he would push me and i would find another job and things would be back up again. Then i would mess things up again. For the last 3 years i messed things up and he would fix them and then i would mess them up again and now he is at the point where he doesnt want to do it anymore. He says that i have put him into so much debt and that he doesnt believe that i want things good in my life. The thing is i do, i am just still trying to learn how to do things because i was never taught anything, and i need more time to figure things out. But he want to leave and leave me alone, and i dont know what to do. I love this man more then anything, and i feel like i am dying without him and i know that i can do the things i need to do to make things good again but i feel like there is no point in trying if he is not there. please help me because i am lost in myself and dont knw what to do.

I will not enter in more particular because it would be much inadequate one!

Dr. Phil
I am having a lot of trouble with these two boys that I am crazy about. One of the boys I met through a friend and he said that he wants to be friends with benofits. I don't realy know what to do because I don't want to talk to him anymore but my body wants him so bad. Every time we talk I stop for a while and think that I'm starting to get over him, but once I think that he call's me and I lose controle on how I act. I've never acted this way and to tell you the truth I'm scared of how far I might take it. But there's also another boy that's a year older than me. I am so crazy over him. I think I'm in love but everyone is telling me that I am to young. But I know how I feel. I've never felt this way over a guy before and It's realy wierd for me. I can't talk to anyone about it because no one understands. We have so much in common and I am just so confused. Please get back to me as soon as possable.
Thank you sooooooooooo much.

Dear Confused,

Are you twelve or under? The way you type with such breathless passion makes me believe that you are a younger Dr. Phil fan. Dr. Phil has been know to buy a t-shirt for his most special girls.

Tell me about the first boy -- how do your thighs when you think of him? Do you feel a strong pulsing sensation -- like a muscular young Jesus emerging from heaven? Can you imagine consummating your lust for this young man in a dark pulsing room playing some non-stop sexual music, perhaps tribal house? Dr. Phil hopes so.

The way that the doctor takes care of burning desire is to satisfy it more than you ever thought possible. You have written to me about two boys -- but don't settle. Dr. Phil thinks only four boys can put out that burning fire. You need to find two more young men who "your body wants so bad" (your words not mine.) You need to learn what these boys really need. After your encounters with them, please write down very specific details and send them to Dr. Phil (get@real.org) for more advanced analysis.

If you would like Dr. Phil to send you a t-shirt, please send several pics (high resolution preferred).

Why does that guy keep looking at me? I was looking over his shoulder a minute ago at the croissants on the counter, but he thought I was staring at him. So he gave me this angry look, like "why are you staring at me?" In response I made a really obvious adjustment to my sitting position, making it clear that I was in fact looking OVER his shoulder at the croissants. Then this guy snaps his newspaper really loudly and rolls his eyes, as if I did something wrong. I couldn't believe the nerve of the guy - I admit I made a mistake at this point - so I stared him down for a bit. He ignored it for a while, but then we made eye contact again. This time I looked straight at him, unblinking. He lowered his paper a bit and said "....what?" I told him the truth: "Last time I was looking at the croissants. This time I'm looking at you." And now he won't stop looking at me. What do I do Dr. Phil?

I love this album! Except 2nd "Home by the Sea." It's a tossup between the last two tracks, but I went with "It's Gonna Get Better," which sounds like heaven. That song seems to share a feel with certain other songs from '83, like Dylan's "Jokerman" and Cyndi Lauper's "When U Were Mine," that I can't quite put my finger on. They feel static, but have fluid basslines with sort of a shimmery overlay. Maybe it's just me.

Last week, 56-year-old Shirley Dieu said she would sue the TV personality and Paramount Pictures over alleged misconduct during a series of therapy session.

Dieu claims that between October 9 and 11 in 2007, McGraw held her captive in a room “with a completely naked live man while he exposed his entire naked body, genitals and all.”

Dieu also says that McGraw hypnotised her, deprived her of sleep and groped her breast.

TMZ.com reports that a second woman has come forward claiming that she had to endure a similar ordeal with the former Oprah Winfrey Show star.

The woman, Crystal Matchett, has filed a lawsuit saying she was also made to share a room with a “completely naked man, who was exposing his entire naked body, genitals and all.”

Dear Dr Phil

I am a 52 yr old man who has been with my wife for 17yrs we have a daughter 15 and
her 22 yr old son lives with us also.
Last august we moved back to Rhode Island from NC. At the time we knew her son was
having troubles with a heroin addicition living in RI on his own so she wanted to
move back to try and help him and have him live with us.I expressed my concerns
about having him in the house with my daughter so i said there had to be rules for him to follow
she agreed.

But as soon as we got back she started to push me further away and incorperated no rules
since then he has stolen from 3 gold and dimond rings and around 500 in cash along with losing
every job he gets for stealing tools and pawning them for drugs I am up to my limit

she now speaks to me about 4mins per day and wont have sex but 1 time in 3 months
i still am in love with her but i am finding it more difficult to hang onto them feelings
i over heard her and him talking today and she was reashering him that none of my attitude is his fault

and discussing how stupid my feelings are so my question is am i wasting my time trying to salvage my marriage
and if not what avenues should i pursue so that she will open her eyes she gives him money
and he comes back home an hour later totaly stoned i have said every thing to her but call her
an enabler witch is exactly what she is the sad part is she is an RN and should know better i feel if things keep going the way they are i will lose my wife and her son will end up losing his life

thank you for any advice you can give me

Dr. Phil confronted a "FarmVille"-loving mother named Teresa about her duties to her children recently, and he thinks she would be better served to go out and "start a garden for real." I'm sure everyone reading this knows somebody who spends a just a little too much time playing Zynga's crop-tending Facebook game, but this guest took her obsession off the deep end to the point where she was sabotaging the family computer when others tried to use it.

"She unplugged the router, so you would think the Internet had gone down, and as soon as you went away, she plugged it back in and went back to tending her crops," Dr. Phil told Teresa's daughter Jennifer, according to Games.com.

"Part of the reason is because of her attitude when I do ask to get on the computer," Teresa responded. Dr. Phil fired back with one of his trademark reality checks, however.

"No, it's not," he said. "You unplugged it because you have a ridiculous addiction to a ridiculous computer game that's interfering with your ability to be a mother. You needed a fix, and she wouldn't get off, so you had to create the opportunity."

Anyone who grew up gaming with a brother or sister knows that you should share your computer and game systems, and that rule applies to parents as well, especially when they're neglecting their basic responsibilities. As an alternative solution, perhaps Teresa and Jennifer could find a nice multiplayer console game. Either way, your heard it from Dr. Phil first: "FarmVille" is "a ridiculous computer game."

Do you agree with Dr. Phil about "FarmVille"? What about parenting? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Is a Feeder Normal?

I am very overweight and had a hard time in high school. Then I went away to College and met a guy who was an Extreme Feeder. We met at a College mixer, It was strange cause he passed right over all the other girls and made a bee line straight for me. He was 6 feet tall a trim 180 pounds and he was very good looking. I knew about guys who preferred fat girls but I never met a guy who was as obsessed as he turned out to be.

He was so romantic and I really liked his personality, to tell you the truth I was falling in love with him. We had a few wonderful dates and I could not resist his advances any more and I made love for the first time. It was the most overwhelming experience of my life, he totally loved every inch of me. He made me feel like the most beautiful Goddess there ever was!

Things were perfect at first but then he slowly started to show me his sexual perversions. He told me that he LOVED my fat, that FAT and SEX were the same to him. He loved to take me Fast Food Hopping, we would hit all of my favorite places first White Castles, KFC and then Pete's Pizza. My biggest problem is that I am a compulsive binge eater and this guy was going all out to encourage me to over eat. He would order two meals of my favorite food and he ate practically nothing himself and would encourage me to eat more! He told me that to see me on an eating binge was a HUGE turn on for him!

He would spend less time on me and more time fondling my fat! Then he told me that he is a feeder fat fetish! He would bring me food and then put hand cream in the deep fold of skin between my rolls of fat and want me to eat at him as he had sex with my fat rolls. I really wanted to please him but things kept getting worse and worse.

What he LOVED to do was to Funnel me. He got me a clear plastic funnel and put it in my mouth then he would pour cake batter down my throat while I would stroke him. He would then have sex with me, fondling my fat and telling me how he loved seeing me eat myself Fatter and Fatter! Then he went WAY over the line.

He told me that he wanted to feed me to over 500 pounds, I was in shock. I was at the heaviest I ever weighed, about 340 pounds, my doctor was pressuring me to get Weight Loss Surgery, and my lover wanted me to gain over a hundred pounds more. Well THAT did it. I told him that I was going to try to keep where I am, even though I would love to lose weight. He told me that if I don't gain weight he would leave me. God, my love meant nothing to this guy. He wanted to force me to be his super morbid gaining sex perversion!

I still love him but I am not going to let him feed me to death. I refused to play his weight gain games any more and then he left me for a fatter girl. I am happy with a guy who loves me the way I am. I do not want a feeder who wants me to burry myself in my own fat. Am I wrong? Is it Normal?

Dr. Phil McGraw makes a living counseling others, but an insider exclusively tells RadarOnline.com the good doctor is anything but on the set of his syndicated talk show and even likens him to a fascist dictator who marches around barking orders.

According to the source, Dr. Phil has a temper and explodes with anger when things aren't done his way — that includes yelling at his employees, his guests and even his long suffering wife, Robin McGraw.

"He's like a fascist dictator on a set of quivering female servants," the insider told RadarOnline.com.

"You can feel the fear on the set. There seems to be a reason he hires a nearly all female staff…he seeks out the vulnerable type of person that's reliant on their paycheck from him so they don't fight back."

The insider claims that while Dr. Phil acts like he's there to help his guests, he actually intimidates them into getting the soundbites he's seeking for high ratings.

"Guests often seize up once they get in front of Dr. Phil because he's so intimidating. He's nothing off camera like he appears on camera," the source said.

"Before he gets to the soundbite he's looking for there's no sense of a gentle, sympathetic, professional view. It's all about the soundbite, and he'll bully the guest off-camera until he gets the soundbite he needs."

Dr. Phil, 62, is also labeled by the insider as having a huge ego, being confrontational and emotionless.

"It's all about feeding his narcissistic enormous ego. It's his way and everyone else bows and stays clear of his path," the source said.

"There are camera men that used to work for him — who will do any job they can get — that flat out refuse to work with him again because of the way he treats his staff and guests. They think he's an absolute pig!"

The TV shrink and Robin's marriage has reportedly been on a downward spiral and the two are even butting heads over her role on his show.

"While Dr. Phil is filming an interview or segment, Robin will sometimes just sit in a back corner watching," the source said.

"She has absolutely no say in the way things are run. And when Dr. Phil flips out or gets aggressive with staff and guests, Robin just sits there with a sad look on her face like she doesn't agree with him, but can't speak up because she's just as fearful of him as everyone else!"

I wish Dr Phil's show was co-hosted with Schopenhauer and the two would argue about whether the guests should "get real and take charge of their lives" or find solace in the fact that things aren't fair, they never asked to be born, it isn't their fault, and it will all be over soon.
