Turn On The Bright Lights, definitely. One of my favourite albums of all time. Definitely diminishing returns with those boys. Antics was a fine record, but Our Love To Admire was only average.

It is a great alblam. Something to do with not just aping but basically copying, 'talent imitates, genius steals' sort of thing.

Since the first one has the only song I've ever heard by them that I like (the one that goes "I will surprise you sometime" etc), I'm going with that.

I wish I had a way to vote exclusively for "Take You On A Cruise" and assume this was the only song these guys ever wrote.

Bright Lights rules, but I wholeheartedly love every last one of their singles since then.

was thinking about how PDA and The New are inverses of each other - PDA starts off tense and urgent, and then explodes into major key bliss. The New has more twist and turns, but it starts off as this nice, contemplative thing and then spirals into total paranoia and panic.
