Isis - SGNL>05???

I bought this today because I mistakenly thought it was the album I wanted but couldn't remember the name.

I haven't been able to throw it on yet (stereo in use) but the CD itself says "BONUS DISC - These recordings are lo-fi and primitive. They are presented here to document the origins of Neurosis"

Now first of all, it's weird to have the only disc be a "Bonus Disc." Second, Isis doesn't even have an album called Neurosis. Third, the description in AMG just calls it an EP and doesn't say anything about it being a demo thing.

Is this a mis-packaged CD? Is that what the album is supposed to say?

sounds like you got the wrong cd, mister.

Well, it sounds like Isis, so I guess I jumped the gun.

It's pretty good so far. Kinda sounds like the missing link between Shellac and numetal

have you thought about throwing it in on your PC and looking it up on freedb.org?

sounds like it could be the bonus disc to the reissue of pain of mind by neurosis.

Good idea.

Sure enough, it comes up as SGNL>5.

This disc is a little more boring than the other Isis stuff I've heard though. I couldn't remember the names of the albums I had wanted and when I saw this in the store for some reason I just thought it was one of them.

oi we're getting old

Neurosis is a band who is often compared to Isis, so it probably is mispackaged.

oh wait someone said that already. i hang my head in shame.

That's weird -- is Neurosis on the same label or something?

the first time someone mentioned Isis to me, they called them "Neurisis"....
i think their newer stuff is better...they've gone their own way finally...
