despite the “cringe vibes” i grabbed that first dj absolutely shit 12” when it came out. not the best pressing, but totally solid electro breaks stuff, like a modern and somewhat rave-ier update on what jedi knights (middleton + churchill) were doing 25 yrs ago

what really stands out to me tho is how it’s nowhere near as provocative (or cringe vibes) as the artist name and rhetoric!

Honestly, there were points on RFF first ablum where I found myself thinking "I'd actually be please dif this were the latest Aphex album". It's deceptively complex and detailed stuff, and the guy clearly knows what he's doing despite the "lo fi" tag
