So I was gonna start a thread that was titled something like
"Post here every time you think about contributing to a politically themed thread but censor yourself for fear of attracting suggest bans for unpopular opinions"
but then I realised that meta on that level would be in itself a total fucking suggest ban magnet.
I hate feeling like this. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. It seriously makes me feel like I don't have a right to an opinion around here any more.
(And anyone who SB's me for this post, seriously, can fucking bite me.)

I was thinking about starting a picture thread to post horrifying images that show up when you GIS non-horrifying phrases, but it's probably not a good idea to have people posting horrifying images to ilx, or at least if they were I wouldn't be clicking on the thread so it would be pointless me starting it. Anyway, I got the idea from GISing 'morrissey the consumer monkey' and one of the results being from a story about a monkey tearing off a baby's testicle and eating it.

Also: I was thinking the other day about this article I read about 10 years ago in the NME about a band, and how they claimed to have met when the three of them all tried to shoplift their local virgin megastore's sole copy of the first Suicide album at the same time, and I was going to start a thread about bands with obviously made up but rather charming stories about how they formed, but I'm not sure if enough bands do this to make it worthwhile. More bands should do this though, like origin stories in super-hero comics.
