Damon Albarn is grebt, if only because of the amount of hatred he inspires in the ILX community.

Daniel_Rf (Daniel_Rf), Saturday, 29 March 2003 23:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Would someone explain the HEBT please? Admittedly I know very little about him (though I lurved Blur (well, up thru Great Escape))

Aaron A., Sunday, 30 March 2003 01:51 (twenty-three years ago)

blurillaz

geeta (geeta), Sunday, 30 March 2003 02:22 (twenty-three years ago)

we were just talking last night about the fact that he should have killed himself after parklife.

Clare (not entirely unhappy), Sunday, 30 March 2003 08:00 (twenty-three years ago)

P'raps this might help to explain the HEBT:

Basically it's because he's a vain, smug asshole who thinks he's a lot smarter than he really is. Which actually reads like the type of pop star that ILM would love (cf: David Bowie, for one), but whaddyagonnado...

Oh, and also ILM hates cool videos.

Daniel_Rf (Daniel_Rf), Sunday, 30 March 2003 10:31 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought you meant grande as in the new Q pictures. I think Damon has been a victim of a FEEDER!

Sonny, Sunday, 30 March 2003 10:41 (twenty-three years ago)

whoops

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Sunday, 30 March 2003 20:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Damon is a sexy beast! I loved Think Tank too

Camilla Harrismore, Thursday, 11 May 2006 23:11 (twenty years ago)

he was SO sour in that britpop documentary! you'd think that he didn't come out the most successful of the lot of 'em or something.

lil' merzbow wow (haitch), Thursday, 11 May 2006 23:31 (twenty years ago)

think tank is criminally underappreciated, and damon's persona is much more interesting when he's in a bad mood! (cf: demon days, blur s/t, 13)

swvl (vozick), Friday, 12 May 2006 03:38 (twenty years ago)

maybe i should listen to my blur singles box set one of these days

He was easily the biggest wanker of the whole thing. Why, the bit in when he's asked a question and then cracks out a mandolin and starts noodling away on it was... I dunno. He just came off like a right tosser.

Oh and Gorillaz sucks.

S- (sgh), Friday, 12 May 2006 04:12 (twenty years ago)

in Live Forever, he obviously a) isn't arsed to be asked about something he considers a minor part of his life, i.e. press foofooraw rather than music, but especially b) thinks it's some lame student film made by idiots that no-one's ever going to see - not just in demeanour and disengaged responses, but the fact that his interview was shot "yeah I'll meet you round the corner in a caff, but I've gotta pick up my kid at 3," as opposed to N. Gallagher's "people want to film me for a documentary? good thing, I can get some use out of that GIANT FUCKING THRONE I bought on ebay"

kit brash (kit brash), Friday, 12 May 2006 04:20 (twenty years ago)

.. and "Centred around the Blur Vs Oasis thing" as the britpop apex.

Gotta hand it to him considering how bald he was circa Think Tank

PaulTMA, Wednesday, 23 June 2021 12:31 (four years ago)

Any of you familiar with "All Elite Wrestling" will no doubt be aware of the promising second generation youngster who clearly provided the inspiration for this hairdo

The Worthy Farm show was fantastic; like boozy late-night cabaret. Has to be seen to be believed. Although the BBC plan only to show 'highlights' during this weekend's Glastonbury Experience thing. I guess it was pretty.. wayward. But in a nice way!
