What plays USB without gaps between tracks

I'm currently playing music from a USB that I connect to my Blu-ray player. The sound is great, but the fact that there's a little gap of silence before the next song begins is a little annoying. Are there any other systems that can play USBs without gaps?

There are certainly a number of apps (foobar2000 being one of the best) that will play gaplessly. Not sure how that would work with a Blu-Ray player, though.

You mean from a thumbdrive? I have a run-of-the-mill Sangean radio that I use to play music from a thumbdrive and I've never noticed any gaps between tracks.

I'm thinking of getting a boombox with a USB port. I'm hoping it doesn't have the same issue.

it's your bluray player which is adding the gaps, if there are settings on there for this then that's your only option

The issue is entirely with the device you're using to play it (in your case, that specific Bluray player). Definitely check first if the player has the option for "gapless playback" or something to that effect. Another kludgey thing you could try is burning the music files to a CD with gapless playback enabled, because sometimes players will handle CD format gaplessly but not music files. If you're willing to go the laptop/phone route, it's much easier to find a program or app with gapless playback
