Anyhow, Gia said that he sucked ass. On May 18th 2002,a Houston jury convicted him for aggravated sexual assault of a child; in June the same jury sentenced him to 45 years in prison. Coy testified that he did not assault the nine-year-old girl in question, who had spent the night at his house with his daughter. Coy did, however, admit to having sex in 1993 with a 13-year-old girl who bore his child. His involvement with her and other teenage girls in his controversial rapper lifestyle may have harmed his case with the jury made up mostly of older white members. Carlos Coy will be eligible for parole after he serves 22 1/2 years of his 45 year sentence but his appeal may get him out sooner.
