"sweet dreams, sweet cheeks" for me, closely followed by "drop it doe eyes"

this album is still quite good and completely jam-packed with hooks, but it's a little too twee for me now - there's just the occasional moment where the tweeness crosses the line into obnoxious (usually gareth's vocals)

we are beautiful, we are doomed and romance is boring are much much better though and this only really hints at what they'd accomplish on those

This album has aged terribly, but You! Me! Dancing! still gets the blood pumping.

tom on the album a couple of years back

The thing I like about this record is that a lot of it self-conscious but also these were the only songs we wrote. Everything we've done since then we've known people are going to hear it, so it's like the mirror phase or something. When a child looks at themselves in the mirror for the first time their psychology changes. Every track is like a snapshot of where we were at that point. It's definitely honest. I'm sort of alright with it now. It's like when you're 18 looking at pictures of yourself when you were 14 and it's horrible, but now that I'm 32 I look at pictures of myself when I was 14 and I'm like oh, that's fine.
