Starts tonight at 7PM on BBC1. Not many people cared about this last year, will even fewer care this time? Same judges, same format (despite claims of it being 'tweaked'), same result? (ie, winner's single doesn't even make the top 40, no-one remembers who they are a few months later?)

it's likely that by tomorrow leah mcfall will have the first top 10 this show has ever produced, so i dunno if it's really as dead as all that.

The judges (tbf Tom isn't that bad), the continual recapping of the previous week's events, the long 'what they did this week' VT, Holly and to a lesser extent Reggie. It all adds up to a lot of bloat in a show that delivers very little. I mean, it's not like X Factor delivers anything either, but it's done with a certain amount of urgency, fights, and (albeit often scripted) unpredictability.
