Watching films (movies) with other people and in different contexts

I find this can really affect my appreciation of a film to the point that even if I've seen it before, I can 180 on my opinion of it depending on who I'm watching it with. Anyone find this? With what films has this happened to you?

I'm sure if I'd watched 'Drive' on my own I'd maybe have appreciated it a bit more, but as it happened I found the long gazing looks extremely lacking in tension, and couldn't let myself be absorbed by these scenes.

Team America - thought this was hilair first time I saw it with friends. Later on I watched the whole thing in stony silence with my Dad thinking, "I'm sure there were some funny bits in this?".

This is why I prefer to watch alone. Alone in a crowd.

Actually my friend Mr. Fine Wine and I have observed anecdotally that if we see a movie together we usually share the same opinion, which will diverge from the opinion of everyone else we know.
