Say Something Nice About Your Fellow ILE'ers

At the request of the wise Samson, I am continuing this thread from its ILM equivalent. Title explains itself.

My answer is the same as on ILM; Kate, Nathalie and Di Smith are goddesses, and Mark S, Dr C, Anthony and Robin C are gods. Why? Because they are.

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Marcello is a very witty man whose company can make unbearably dull postrock-emo bands seem bearable!

I want to say nice things about all the people on ILE that I love, but I've got to process some invoices now. I will return at random intervals and drop in and say things like "Chris P making crushing fun!!!"

kate, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:17 (twenty-three years ago)

Well I'm going to repeat what I said on the other thread, namely:

The following are all friendly, informative, insightful, wise and/or funny (as are 95% of people here): nabisco, mark s, Tom, Marcello, M Matos, Ned, dave q.

And I'm going to add Martin Skidmore to that list.

James Ball (James Ball), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Lawrence Kansas made me laugh.

I like the heated discussions twixt Amateurist and nabisco. They make me feel dumb.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, I feel strangely calm and happy when I read posts by, to name a few: Tom, jel, Martin, nabisco, Nick Southall, Nicole and Emma (all people I haven't met; the ones I have met are also great in any number of ways).

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:24 (twenty-three years ago)

I always like reading Gareth's posts and he gave me some useful advice about work once which I really value. Cheers Gareth!

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:32 (twenty-three years ago)

everyone is so nice here.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Suzy = Something Nice
Ned = Something Nice
Mark S. = Something Nice
Pashmina = Something Nice
Sarah McLusty = Something Nice
Nicole = Something Nice
Dan Perry = SOMETHING NAUGHTY!!!!

kate, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:38 (twenty-three years ago)

i focus more on ilm these days, but i still love you all!

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan Perry is the American me.
Oh - you mean something nice.

Er - Jerry The Nipper spoils for a fight in such a lovely way, and Felicity is naturally attractive to squirrls and other ILEors.

Pete (Pete), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:50 (twenty-three years ago)

i will pick one for now: j.lu, you are sweet.

i tried to make a list of all the ilxers who have made me fall in love with them, but it was ridiculously long.

di smith (lucylurex), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Jerry The Nipper does the best Avril Lavigne impression ever.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 11:27 (twenty-three years ago)

And you do the best Axl Rose and Slash combined!

Dr. C (Dr. C), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 11:50 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd say something smutty about hstencil, but I'd be accused of Crotch Talking again!

kate, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 11:52 (twenty-three years ago)

your all the shiznit. fo shizzle.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 12:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Liz Daplyn has a way of phrasing her posts that never fails to make me smile.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 12:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Mr. Stencil, Di, Gareth, Mel, JBR, Alex in SF, SeanSF, Rosemary, Ed, Anthony, and even Mllar when he's not playing up the comic effect are all excellent chat mates and make my post school hours gleefully wasteful.

That Girl (thatgirl), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 12:51 (twenty-three years ago)

People who are great on ILE: Mark S*, Dan, Ned, Jerry the Nipper, J0hn Darn1elle, Ms Laura, N.

ILE People who are really nice in person: Chris Brassica, Vicky, Al Ewing, Alan, Emma, Carsmile Steve, jel, lixi, Daplyn, RickyT.

People who rule in both arenas: Tom, Starry, Pete, Tim Hopkins, Martin Skidmore, the pinefox, and my Dublin Posse.

People who are probably in the above category, but I haven't met despite attending two London FAPs: Marcello, Kate, Suzy.

* mark s is almost certainly nice in person, but I came over all shy on Friday and didn't say much, and then got mortified when before leaving he said it was nice to meet me.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:35 (twenty-three years ago)

i love how these threads invariably turn into "i will talk up the people you know i already like from 10 other threads"

i hate you all equally

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:37 (twenty-three years ago)

I love you all. You help me get through my day, and for that, I thank you.

NYC ILXors have been remarkably friendly and fun, and I'm glad that I took the chance in meeting you all. Even Ally ; )

hstencil, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:38 (twenty-three years ago)

ha ha Andrew doesn't think I'm nice in person!!

alext (alext), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Jess likes George Benson, therefore he's cool.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:40 (twenty-three years ago)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: jel is the most adorable person on ILx.

What is with all the mutual masterbation going on lately? I just wanted to use the phrase "mutual masterbation", carry on. jess is right, compliment someone out of the blue who you don't normally have big ups backslappin' with. I could tell everyone 40 times over right now how much Tracer Hand and Yancey and Matos rule but EVERYONE KNOWS I hang out with those people.

I'd like to say that di usually posts things that I want to say and then go, "No, cos then they'll all get their panties in a wad again" and I think that's a great trait, and Suzy and Ed seem like right cool, smart peeps who'd be cool to have a night with.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:41 (twenty-three years ago)

It's impossible for me to create a list without leaving someone out, so I shan't. Y'all rock. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned: 4,567,345 days without an insult to an ILxor!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:44 (twenty-three years ago)

And counting! Er, I guess.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:45 (twenty-three years ago)

I had a rockin' DC FAP with j. lu, Aaron "The Gross Man" Grossman, and Sarah "McLusty" McLusky. DC/VA/MD REPRAZENT! Thanks for yr hospitality.

Nick A. (Nick A.), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:46 (twenty-three years ago)

fuck, thanks ally. i didn't know you felt that way. :-)

di smith (lucylurex), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Y'know, I'm a totally funny dude. I make people laugh. No, really, I do. You guys don't think that's important. But dudes, it totally is.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:49 (twenty-three years ago)

no horace you're right. it is.

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:51 (twenty-three years ago)

i don't like any of you, but you all dress real sharp, yo.

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:54 (twenty-three years ago)

D'oh! okay, all my niggaz from Saturday are in "really nice in person", except for TomStarryPeteHopkins.

And Dave Q is great on ILE

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Like the Special Olympics, you are all winners.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Except the cheats who pretend to have a disability from Spain.

Pete (Pete), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:10 (twenty-three years ago)

How can a disability come from Spain? Falling off a balcony in Ibiza or something, maybe?

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Disabilities from Spain usually involve slurred speech, a complete lack of coordination and inability to walk in a straight line, and usually occur between the hours of 11pm and 1am.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:15 (twenty-three years ago)

and tagging along like a lost dog behind USA and UK

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Those are Spanish Disabilities, which is an entirely different matter.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:16 (twenty-three years ago)

jerry the nipper & the pinefox sing passable magnetic field covers.

tim hopkins once found a CD of a Chicago rapper [No I.D.] in London, that I couldn't even find in Chicago, bought it, and mailed it to me!

phil-two (phil-two), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:18 (twenty-three years ago)

jess is right, compliment someone out of the blue who you don't normally have big ups backslappin' with.

I did, I think. And no one slaps my back here normally, but I have people being nice to me in real life which I value more tbh.

(However, add to the above Sarah McLusky, Donna and Chrises V. and Piuma.)

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh hey! I like g-kit! And I like Jess and I like Lady Di! Everyone else I like I think I've met! And Nicole. And Josh! *Especially* sloshy Joshy. And probably some others. Udders.

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Mr Noodles has just made Red Red Wine get stuck in my head so quite frankly he does not make THE CUT.

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Starry Sarah can out dance-dance-revolution anyone here, and has very nicely conditioned hair.

phil-two (phil-two), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Loads of you make me feel dumb and ill-informed. This is a good thing because it makes me want/attempt to become better-informed and grow my BRANE bigger, possibly with drugX0r.

I like everyone I've met through ILX, and not just because I knew a fair few of you before due to a SINISTER past. Mostly you are highly accomplished at talking rubbish (in realitee and also online), and from me there is no higher accolade than to note this.

Purely selfish: you take my mind off the inane gossip and general horror of the workplace, and focus it on world events/kittens/what randy buggers you all are.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:35 (twenty-three years ago)

jerry the nipper & the pinefox sing passable magnetic field covers.

Did I say passable? I meant to say SPECTACULAR.

phil-two (phil-two), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:36 (twenty-three years ago)

people what don't normally get props what deserve them:

(i.n.p.o.)

piuma, amateurist, fritz, ed, stevem, carey

so: props

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't know where to begin with the hi-fivin': hstencil, ally, ned, dan, ronan, phil-two, sean carruthers, chris v, ally, horace, tom, jody, pete, that girl, di, marcello, nordicskillz, dr. c, that fucker jess, cabbage-head carey, all the marks, nicks, anthonys, sarahs, & daves...I'm not shittin' ya when I say the knowledge/wisdom/mirth doled out so heartily in this virtual space actually does mean something to me.

And then they all lez up!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Obviously I like Phil-Two, the number of times we've slept together would hopefully confirm that...

I was just thinking earlier that my hair looks nice too!

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:59 (twenty-three years ago)

haha nickalicious thinks I'm so nice, he listed me twice! (ps I loved you from first site on the name nickalicious alone)

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:02 (twenty-three years ago)

You've just turned my day around, nick...er, Tiger Balm Nuts.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:07 (twenty-three years ago)

yay, im the shit.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:14 (twenty-three years ago)

I want to give a shout-out to the people who only pop up every month or so and post a brief but insightful comment, but no one knows who they are because they have self-restraint, so no one ever name checks them.

Nick A. (Nick A.), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:14 (twenty-three years ago)

you are all worthy of a romp in Bruce Springsteens chest hair, a sing along to the Force Md's, a guitar jam with George Benson, a running man with Bobby Brown and a striptease to some Adam Ant.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Aw, you guys that namechecked me are sweet!

I have developed a secret pretend internet crush on Nabisco, especially since the double whammy of his Buffy essay(s) and his "like a dog returning to its own vomit" comments.

And I want to thank the NZ posse who have been IMing with me until the wee hours (both mine and theirs!) and listening to me whiiiiiiiiiiine.

Also, donut bitch: I'LL SEE YOU IN HELL! Or, next best thing, in Seattle, this weekend.

(Obv there are more people I could namecheck but that is enough for right now.)

Chris P (Chris P), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Yo! I just wanna give a shout out to my boys Rae-Rae and O-dub! Hold it down my nizzles!

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Thank you, name-checkers. To anyone who didn't post my name, you're on my s**T list!
ok, j/k
I love you all. CAn't we all just get along? What is all this fighting for? etc.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:56 (twenty-three years ago)

brother,brother,brother....there's far too many ilxer's crying.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 17:59 (twenty-three years ago)

I've changed my mind. Chris V. is the only good ILXor left.

No, I've changed my mind again.
Lots of love.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 18:01 (twenty-three years ago)

This whole thing makes me giddy like schoolgirl.

TigerBalmNuts (nickalicious), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 18:10 (twenty-three years ago)

whats up with the Balm Nuts? Balmy Tiger Nuts.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 18:14 (twenty-three years ago)

Right then, pardon the buzz in my head from all the love in this thread, but why not wade in?

Much joy to the London ILX crew: you all made me feel so welcome:

Pete, Starry, Tom, Kate, etc: You're all mad (esp. once the drinkies flow), but wonderful too. We must do that again, soon.

Ally: You are something else. NYC wouldn't be the same without you.

Chris B, stripey, Ned: Each of you are originals, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Tracer, Maura, Anthony Daddino, Rosemary, etc: Cool meetings have rarely been so much fun!

DB: Dude, your message of chilled times and mixed music needs to be spread,

Master Perry and Madame Willett: Haven't met either of you yet, but this should change.

There are too many I'm forgetting to mention, but that will do for a start...I can feel my natural sarcastic mood reasserting itself.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 18:22 (twenty-three years ago)

marp p doesn't get much props himself - PORPS! i mean PROPS!

(temporary name change in attempt to garner noticeability)

mitchell froom basket lastnamebuttplugwithheldalicious (mitchlnw), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 18:23 (twenty-three years ago)

ronan

Cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 18:25 (twenty-three years ago)

yes mark p is a solid citizen and though mitch was more prolific with his jams in 01, he still has several good albums in him

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 18:28 (twenty-three years ago)

I blame hstencil... for making late night chats fun! (and I blame a bunch of others, too, of course.)

Also, there is never enough bnw love.

rosemary (rosemary), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 19:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Thank you James, Archel and Andrew - I appreciate it.

I hardly know where to start. There are so many people here who I like and value and enjoy, and without whom my life would be diminished. I think I'll avoid mentioning those I've met, as I hope they have some idea how much I care (and that certainly includes visitors to the UK like Anthony, Felicity and Mary), in favour of mentioning a few I don't know - like the impossibly glamorous, in my mind at least, NYC ILX women, people I chat to on AIM/MSN like Jess, Di, Duane, Chris B, Mel, Cozen and others I like on the board like Sarah McL, Laura, Nicole, Dan, Ned, Nabisco, Julia, Chris V, Josh, Donna, AlexT. And I know I've missed loads out there, and I can only apologise.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 19:52 (twenty-three years ago)

ILX - you're doing a good job, keep it up, you can do it!

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:01 (twenty-three years ago)

rosemary - your wish is my, er, command!

hstencil, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:02 (twenty-three years ago)

you all make me feel less like simon and more like garfunkel

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:03 (twenty-three years ago)

you make me feel like dancin'

hstencil, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:04 (twenty-three years ago)

i like hstencil

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:05 (twenty-three years ago)

you are all my pokemon.

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:05 (twenty-three years ago)

not that I wanna keep you all in Pokeballs, I mean that's just cruel.

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Instead of singling anyone out, I think I'll just say that I've given up on a lot of online forums -- real-time, Usenet, what have you -- either because of low signal-to-noise or the near-impossibility of keeping up with them. Don't have either of those problems with ILE. Everyone seems to be a bit smarter and a bit funnier than the average bear.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:14 (twenty-three years ago)

i like you too, jess!

hstencil, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, I want to chat with Martin! No fair!

Chris P (Chris P), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:17 (twenty-three years ago)

I also like hstencil, man was I glad to get an IM that crazy sunday morning, heh.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:19 (twenty-three years ago)

I think Horace is the funniest dude on here. I always bust a nut at his posts.

Morace Hann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Chris likes George Benson therefore he is cool.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Rosemary is so sweet. I like everyone except Ned.

I do think these popularity contest threads make ILx a bit more insular and reenforces the division of regulars into cliques. (Maybe if we didn't have this same thread every month...)

bnw (bnw), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:36 (twenty-three years ago)

i only like ned and hate everyone else

chaki (chaki), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:46 (twenty-three years ago)

BNW and Chaki are using me to fight a proxy war. D'oh! (I heart them both, natch.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 20:50 (twenty-three years ago)

I like jel because his comments are hilarious yet understated. I like Chris V., too. I also like Jerry the Nipper because he and I went on some dates. I also like Rosemary because she made me a rad CD. I like jess's girlfriend nancy.

Mandee, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 21:12 (twenty-three years ago)

My favourite ilxer's are (and this is true), quite frequently, sistrah becky, dr vick, isabel and nancy, (and archel's matt).

Cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 21:18 (twenty-three years ago)

these threads are no good because no one ever says they like me. So I will not say I like anyone else.

DV (dirtyvicar), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 22:37 (twenty-three years ago)

I like the Dirty Vicar!!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 22:41 (twenty-three years ago)

I think you're grebt, DV. I think it's kinda nice to go unnoticed, myself (bullshit!). My only worry is when people who had been nice to me around here suddenly won't talk to me at all. I'm paranoid as it is!

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 22:44 (twenty-three years ago)

I'll not name names here, for fearof leaving someone out, or misspelling their name, or doing something equally as awful.

But I do want to offer a very large "Thank you" to everyone who has been emailing and such - I am better and I am back home and your concern and friendship have made the past few weeks easier to get through. I will be writing to each of you, but it'll take some time. In the meantime, please know that your support has done an excellent thing for my life. Thank you.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 23:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Nick hates these props threads ==> everyone start going on and on about how much you love Nick!

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 27 March 2003 00:03 (twenty-three years ago)

uh i hate them too then

chaki (chaki), Thursday, 27 March 2003 00:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Chaki I will love you dearly as soon as your patch button whatever thing arrives in its black-and-white kitty splendor.

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 27 March 2003 00:11 (twenty-three years ago)

I knew I'd forget people on my buddy list who rock: jess, chaki, mandee, MsLaura, Mark S. and anyone else I chat with regularly!!

but I hate these kind of threads so, bah. . .

Which leads me to say (cause no one else has) props to all the Melbourne ILX posse! Jim, Minna, Mikey, Tim, Fred, umm... and everyone else I know I've been horrible and forgotten about please don't kill me.

Also, props to Gareth, cause thanks to him I've met Nalini and she rocks my flat! (and cleans it up a treat)

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 27 March 2003 03:50 (twenty-three years ago)

I forgot that Millar makes me laugh. also with one fell swoop and mention of pokemon, jel has become EVEN CUTER and when I go to London I'm going to stare at him, uncomfortably.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 27 March 2003 03:58 (twenty-three years ago)

DV: these threads are no good because no one ever says they like me

Hey!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 27 March 2003 10:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Hehe that's one vote for me so far and one for my NON-POSTING BF! Actually I think everyone called Matt can have P!R!O!P!S! Both DC and coastaltown are nearly as good as the one I keep locked in my flat.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 27 March 2003 10:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Ah, so _that's_ why he looks so terrified when we come round to visit, Archel. You know, for a while I thought Matt was alarmed by being invaded by the armies of tweeness.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Thursday, 27 March 2003 10:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Right now, NICOLE GRAHAM ROCKS MY UNIVERSE!!! Because she sent me Velveeta Shells N Cheese! Woooooo!! HONOUR THE NOODLE!!! Nicole, you ROCK!!!

kate, Thursday, 27 March 2003 10:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, Nichole rocks the cheese food products aisle.

I don't usually like these threads even though I get named on them (cheers) but all's fair, so:

Ed and Kate: why Vine Hill is not Vine Hell. But things will be even better when Ed's not just down here to see me for 36 hours between lectures etc. Oop North. And Kate has been on TOP FORM lately.

Anybody from or in Mpls/St. Paul. Triple Rock FAP at summer's end is on the cards.

Nick le Momoose. Currently rocking Berlin with way too much stubble which means he is being a Very Bad Mang (and Alan and Ed Ball said to send hellos when I ran into them last night).

Clubbers Anonymous: Anna, Gareth, Doomie, Ambrose, Nick K, Toby.

Pubbers Anonymous: Emma, Pete, Mark C, Nick D, Martin, Marcello, Matt DC. And the Deege.

Coffee Achiever: Sink-ah! Being able to kidnap Mark for coffee is one of the best things about my local area.

You don't live in my town, but I've met you and you rock: Anthony, Mary, Felicity.

You don't live in my town, and I haven't met you but you rock: Chicago posse, NYC bunch (esp. the writers) but special props for Ally and Tracer, John D, Ronan, Lara, Smee, Howie, Pashmina, Spencer, Arthur (I wonder if I could give him a can of whup-ass on bad '70s TV trivia), Ned, Joe and Blueski, Sarah McL, Dunedin and esp. Rainy for the texts.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:31 (twenty-three years ago)

haha I can't believe you didn't put me in clubbers anonymous Suzy! All these months of cranky tuesday posting for what!

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:33 (twenty-three years ago)

TRIPLE ROCK FAP?!?! omg I'm SO FUCKING THERE.

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:34 (twenty-three years ago)

keeping w/the idea that props for folks I've not really interacted with are esp. welcome (e.g. my Trayce shout on ILM), let me say that I heart Anna Fielding. someday I will come to London, and she will tell me all about working for an honest-to-goodness British Dance Mag [swoon]. I hope.

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:37 (twenty-three years ago)

(the swoon was for the idea of working for a UK dance mag more than the actual products themselves. as you were.)

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:37 (twenty-three years ago)

(Suzy when I come to London can I help you kidnap Mark S for coffee?)

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Yo, Matos, we could take you to a Real British Club and everything.

Ed and I are thinking of Mpls FAP during the State Fair season. He doesn't believe that many kinds of food can be had On A Stick, and if it's convenient we get to go to Vikings stuff inna VIP stylee 'cos my sis is friends with Mike Tice. My best friend there - who I swear you know, but you just haven't had your Helen Keller/water! moment about - is a major Triple Rock habitué; last time we were there we put at least $10 into the jukebox and were into free drinks by our third order. I was ill for days...

Ronan, you are not in Clubbers Anon because you haven't been clubbing with me.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:48 (twenty-three years ago)

the prospect of teaching anyone about the varieties of food that can be had on a stick has me rubbing my hands together fiendishly

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Yo, Matos, we could take you to a Real British Club and everything.

that won't do. take me to several Real British Clubs. ;-)

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 27 March 2003 11:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Without Graham none of this bonhomie wd be possible. Being taken for granted is of course a compliment in a way, but we all owe him big-time.

(Besides I know his address and can break in and steal his Buffy DVDs in a few weeks time...)

mark s (mark s), Thursday, 27 March 2003 12:33 (twenty-three years ago)

We all know his address now, may the catburglin' commence.

Can I prop up Tim HopkinG and Dave Boyle too for being gentlemen and bouzers.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 27 March 2003 12:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, what Mark said times about a million. Except the part about Buffy DVDs, I'm too lazy to go to Oxford but will consider Hackney ;-).

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 27 March 2003 12:41 (twenty-three years ago)

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 27 March 2003 21:52 (twenty-three years ago)

haha YES! I'm being taken for granted!

Oh.

But, aw shucks, you're worth it. ILE, I could never stay angry at you. *hugs computer monitor*

Please note that I have excluded anyone I know IRL, cos most of you are fab anyway.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 19:28 (twenty-three years ago)

i like most people here, but a few of the people whose posts i really like are: Gareth, i like how he always has sound advice to give, and doesn't end up sounding condescending. Ronan, Lara and N. all have great one-liners. i usually agree with Ed's posts, and he says things i want to say but waaayyy more articulatey. Di just totally rocks. Jel *is* totally adorable. Erik makes SUPER CUTE DRAWINGS! Starry Sarah has the best posting style and makes the most everyday things sound totally exciting, her posts are always totally great to read. Kate is totally cool, and she also makes me laugh lots.

i could probably go on, but i think that's enough for now!

I guess I should say something about Bryan, he being the only person to accuse me of 'brilliance' in living memory. (He's wrong, but it was a good compliment.) So...

'Something nice.'

ChristineSH (chrissie1068), Wednesday, 2 April 2003 13:41 (twenty-three years ago)

No fiver for you!

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 2 April 2003 13:46 (twenty-three years ago)
