I was actually disappointed because I got confused Sunday evening and thought those were *this* weeks releases. They sound great! Maybe even better than the Love Charm EP.

I haven't bought them yet but these recent ones sound pretty good: Smooth Kriminal's Tridant Star, and the two Goodfellaz tracks.. one of which sounds like it samples the Cleptomaniac's Dub of All I Do!

Yeah it does sample "All I Do"! My only criticism of that is that that Bump & Flex production is pretty much the pinnacle of proto-funky, so the main achievement of the Goodfellaz track is to make you want to listen to its sample source again.

i think its officially time to stop hoping any funky records will blow up commercially btw. if do you mind and in the morning cant do it, i doubt any other tracks can.

i still feel like it should be able to. if electrogrime is the 09 equivalent of late 90s trance-pop (alice deejay etc.) then funky should be able to do as well as 2 step did alongside that then.

i don't see why funky can't do this either, as it's an incredibly accessible sound, although afaik (and i don't know much it seems) it hasn't properly spread throughout the suburbs yet, so maybe it's just a matter of time before it decentralises.
