Ha ha this is brilliant! Good man Surmounter.

kv_nol, Friday, 7 September 2007 16:20 (sixteen years ago) link

Right you crazy kids, I'm off. Have a great weekend one and all.

Ms Mis, it might make you smile to head over to excelsior and see some nastiness backfire!

Accentmonkey, I could post you that book if you like? Hide it from teh mister M and you could be well-versed and all impressive going "I knew that" when he reads you excerpts later :)

Toodles all.

I'm going.

No really!

Okay, I'm gone.

For real this time.

Did you miss me? Okay okay, Bye.

kv_nol, Friday, 7 September 2007 16:26 (sixteen years ago) link

The mass posting was funny but in general like I said I tend to ignore personal snipes so didn't care about the original post.

Ms Misery, Friday, 7 September 2007 16:27 (sixteen years ago) link

Surmounter, you have spooky powers! R24; R22 are the seats... and you know my secret identity now. Crazy!

patita, Friday, 7 September 2007 16:54 (sixteen years ago) link

That *is* crazy!

Ms Misery, Friday, 7 September 2007 16:59 (sixteen years ago) link

mwahahahahaha!

prety name :-)

well just for you, i will take a walk over there soon and sit in those seats, and let you know what it's like!

Surmounter, Friday, 7 September 2007 17:10 (sixteen years ago) link

ooh! I feel like royalty :) you are a gracious man!

you've got a nice name too, thank you :)

patita, Friday, 7 September 2007 17:15 (sixteen years ago) link

God, that's so cool! I wish I could remote control people in their workplace.

accentmonkey, Friday, 7 September 2007 17:25 (sixteen years ago) link

hehe... will update soon

Surmounter, Friday, 7 September 2007 17:27 (sixteen years ago) link

My boss is gone. How long should I want until I am gone?

Ms Misery, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:02 (sixteen years ago) link

5 minutes.

luna, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:02 (sixteen years ago) link

I'd say 15 or so, depending on how much you care ;)

patita, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:07 (sixteen years ago) link

Actually probably not till three. But that's still an hour and half early!

I promised myself I would finish something today and the big boss is prone to drop in on Friday afternoons. . .

Ms Misery, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:08 (sixteen years ago) link

Okay, but can *I* leave now?

luna, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:09 (sixteen years ago) link

Yes. Enjoy your weekend!

Ms Misery, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:10 (sixteen years ago) link

Aha, well there's your answer. An hour and a half on a Friday is like three hours on any other day!

luna, you have my permission!

patita, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:10 (sixteen years ago) link

You are both wonderful, and I thank you. However, my boss actually came in and so I'm stuck for another 5 hours and 33 minutes.

DAMMIT.

luna, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:58 (sixteen years ago) link

Outranked!

patita, Friday, 7 September 2007 19:05 (sixteen years ago) link

No way. Just show them this thread. It says it here in black and white.

accentmonkey, Friday, 7 September 2007 19:11 (sixteen years ago) link

Sometimes half dats aren't aren't the wee walk around the shops then home ealty thing you planned. So drunk.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 20:04 (sixteen years ago) link

days*

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 20:05 (sixteen years ago) link

HAH! I was sooo confused.

Watch what you do online in this state, O.

Ms Misery, Friday, 7 September 2007 20:06 (sixteen years ago) link

My kids are watching old breakdance vids on youtubee. They want to be famous breakdancers. Not sure how good the opportunities are for scrawny white kids in the west of scotlan to be famous breakdancers.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 20:07 (sixteen years ago) link

xpsot aye it's a dangerous game this drunk posting

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 20:08 (sixteen years ago) link

xpost, now's the time to break new ground.

Ms Misery, Friday, 7 September 2007 20:08 (sixteen years ago) link

Ttheyre not bad actually, no fear for mad upside down attempted head stands and spin and stuff.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 20:09 (sixteen years ago) link

I found wine

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 21:39 (sixteen years ago) link

There was a Scream mask next to the wine. I wonder if it was supposed to put me off.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 21:40 (sixteen years ago) link

Maybe you're supposed to wear it after.

luna, Friday, 7 September 2007 21:45 (sixteen years ago) link

Good plan. I should put it on and go wake Mrs O.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:05 (sixteen years ago) link

Oh well in that case, I hope she has a really good sense of humor/no sharp objects nearby.

luna, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:11 (sixteen years ago) link

The scream mask will protect him.

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:21 (sixteen years ago) link

I already tested her with phone call along the lines of "hi dere I bet you think I've been working but I've actuallybeen in the pub all day!" so I think fright mask might be pushing my luck tbh, sharp objects or not.

Ian McCulloch's voice is a wonderful thing.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:21 (sixteen years ago) link

You've got a point. Or rather, she might have a point, and it could get you right through the eye-hole of your mask.

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:24 (sixteen years ago) link

Stabbed in Eye

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:26 (sixteen years ago) link

Schoolgirl 'stabbed for love of AC/DC' - Telegraph
A teenager who was stabbed in the eye during her school lunch break said a "gang mentality" singled out pupils for their music and fashion tastes. ..

When stabbing someone in the eye, I always single out the pupil, too.

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:28 (sixteen years ago) link

I wodner if there was a pupil called Iris.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:31 (sixteen years ago) link

I'm almost out of wine and I'mon the last bottle beer. The house is usually full of bouze. I've been slacking. There's still a cupboard full of spirits but that's a bad idea on top of so much bweer and wine, especially when I'm planning on doing it all again tomorrow.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:32 (sixteen years ago) link

MMM BWEER

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:32 (sixteen years ago) link

I'm going to start in on the wine. Anything to stop me from reading all the eye-stabbing stories.

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:35 (sixteen years ago) link

WE HAVE SHOOTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As in Bob Lee Swagger, Master Sniper.
I am antsy with anticpation. I hope I don't accidentally stab myself in the eye before I get to watch it.

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:37 (sixteen years ago) link

Pokey eye stories are horrible. If (ok, when) my vision starts to fail I am Mr Spectacles. none of this laser surgery or contact lens stuff.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:38 (sixteen years ago) link

Oh I just watched that the other day - the special effects (particularly the sniping stuff) looked realistic to me, and while totally gross, were also kind of cool.

luna, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:39 (sixteen years ago) link

Is SHOOTER anythnig like SNIPER*?

*Early 90s Tom Berenger thing with horribly tasty/tasteless slow-mo shot of a sniper shooting a sniper in the eye through a telescopic sight.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:43 (sixteen years ago) link

Wow! we're on an eye-roll!
Shooter is a movie-zation of a Stephen Hunter book. He wrote an excellent series, starting with Dirty White Boys.

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:45 (sixteen years ago) link

He's moved on now to books about master sniper Bob Lee Swagger's father Earl, who was a badass in his own right. I miss Bob Lee, though.

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:46 (sixteen years ago) link

I should read a badass Stephen Hunter book.

It's weird that I'm so yeuch about eyes when I draw them all the time.

Ian McCulloch's voice isn't a patch on Siousxie's. Last Beat Of My Heart omg this song. I better pep it up a bit or I'll enter the Kingdom of Maudlin.

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:54 (sixteen years ago) link

Siouxsie's, even.
(I can't believe I'm correcting something so ridiculously spelled)

onimo, Friday, 7 September 2007 22:55 (sixteen years ago) link

Truly.
Read the Stephen Hunter books. They are a good corrective to maudlinity. Maudlinness?

Beth Parker, Friday, 7 September 2007 23:02 (sixteen years ago) link

Maybe I'll just type a Stephen Hunter book into this thread.
