-Mero mentions a $1.5M sponsorship opportunity from DraftKings (before the massive betting popularity) but Desus wanted to pass because of the “stigma”.

-Mero’s money moves and motivation are done to support his family + kids, which isn’t a priority for Desus as he is in a different place in his life

-Desus wanted to focus solely on linear (HBO, Showtime, etc) whereas Mero wanted to focus on both linear AND digital (bodega boys)

-Mero notes he made more money on YT/podcasting while working at vice

-Mentions there was potentially a Judd Apatow movie (!!!) that Desus didn’t want to do

Seems like Desus truly went Hollywood but Mero didn’t want to do that as he wanted to preserve his authenticity and creative freedom.
