There are so many reasons why I love my boyfriend so much. The way he looks at me, as if I am the most beautiful person in the world. When he sees I am upset, he does whatever possible to make sure im not upset. Or, if he does something to get me upset, he tries to make it better. If I am hungry and I am with him or at his house, he makes sure I am fed, or he cooks me something and brings it to me. The way he kisses me, makes my heart melt. The way he hugs me, like he doesn't want 2 let go. When he holds my hand when we are out, its like he feels he is the most luckiest guy in the place, and he holds my hand tight, like he doesnt want to let go. The way he makes love to me, makes me feel like I am in ecstasy. How he tells me he loves me while he's making love to me. How he makes sure that everytime we get off the phone, or we leave each other, he says, "I love you, with all my heart." When I have had a hard day at work or school and I take it out on him, he puts up with my attitude, and still says that he loves me. If its late at night, and I leave his house and I haven't called him yet, he calls me to make sure I made it in the house okay. When he writes songs about me and how he feels and raps them to me. I can't imagine my life before him, or without him. Not that im obsessed or nething, I just am really in love, and what I thought was love before was not. This is true love. Even though we have bad times, there are more good times. Which is why I wanna spend the rest of my life with him.

i get the hatred for the racism, but why is "junkie" being used throughout this thread as an insult? is it just the icing on the cake, since this guy is already an asshole? most people i know either feel sadness, admiration, or a weird mixture of both for musicians who have drug problems.
that said, what an asshole. never really liked him. even when i was a kid, and loved pantera, he reminded me of the redneck dicks at high school who would start shit for no reason other than that they had uncontrollable anger issues/bad home-lives, etc.

I've never listened to or followed Pantera but this doesn't surprise me at all because of my time in high school. I lived in Ripley, WV, population 3000, and there was one functioning band in town, Death Core War Machine. They were essentially a Pantera cover band, although they knew a few hits by Black Label Society. The kids in this band were self proclaimed Nazis, and whenever there was a falling out in that group, they formed another little gang and called themselves Communists. I just assumed the entire time they didn't know the meaning of any of it, and cracked up when a kid wore a hammer and sickle with that red cancellation circle on it on his shirt. I guess something more sinister was at play. Oh well, I still got to see their melt down across two talent shows.

Christ this is old news. He stopped talking to Kerrang in about 1994 when they reported he said he hung about with white power guys. Long before the ozzfest shit of a few years ago. I'm sure there's a thread on it somewhere. Phil Anselmo = Scum.

GWAR Frontman: 'PHILIP ANSELMO Is A Loser, Junkie, Scumbag, Asshole Motherfucker' - Nov. 11, 2004 In a brand new interview with DenverAccess.com, GWAR singer Oderus Urungus (a.k.a. Dave Brockie) was asked if the band focused more on the music or the elaborate stage show in their early days. "At the very beginning, we didn't concentrate on the music as much as figuring out what GWAR was going to be," he said. "This is before we even recorded 'Hell-O'. We would just get up there in costumes made out of paper mache and just play one chord, but when we saw the unlimited potential that GWAR had, we started taking the music seriously. Now, in order to keep GWAR going, we have to spend more time one the music. Everybody knows the show that we do, but we are still maligned all the time by dumb-asses that think we don't know how to play music. If we didn't know how to write music and play our guitars, this band would have lasted one maybe two albums instead of being the musical jaggernaught that we are. I'll put GWAR up against any metal band, anytime, and we will kick their asses to the dirt!!"
DenverAccess.com: I'm sure that Phil Anselmo and SUPERJOINT RITUAL would love to hear that.
Dave Brockie: "Was Phil talking shit about us again? That guy's a fucking pussy. You know what?! Anytime anybody talks shit about GWAR, they get it thrown right back in their face. I know Phil's girlfriend, and he says to her, 'Oh, I love GWAR, I love GWAR.' That guy is such an ass, he invited us out to see his show in Orlando and then he makes fun of GWAR from the stage. I can't wait to run into that dude — I'm going to put my fist down his fucking ugly throat. He is just a loser, worm, junkie, scumbag, asshole motherfucker. I can't believe he wants to criticize GWAR, the greatest band in rock and roll band in history; he can lick my diuretic code-swipe.
"I'll tell you a funny story about Phil," Brockie continued. "We were in New Orleans, and that faggot piece of shit came on our bus and was like, 'Hey, man, you guys got any of that crazy shit?' We were like, 'What the fuck do you mean?' And he started slapping his arm and was like, 'You know that crazy shit.' I guess he thought we were a bunch of junkies.
"Fuck you, Phil Anselmo. Will you please print that in your article? And your stupid fucking stupid SUPERJOINT RITUAL dumbass band, you fucking suck, die!! We fucked your girlfriend way before you."
― latebloomer, Monday, 22 October 2007 21:30 (sixteen years ago) link

Pantera were great!
Phil being a racist arsehole doesn't affect the music. If anything his idiotic hatred and fear are part of what made the band so good.
Where are the threads about how Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Phil Spector, Public Enemy and Bad Brains are rubbish? (Child abuse / wife beating / murder / racist / homophobic)
