I thought Evan did really well last week!

Evan's a good dancer, and excellent in Broadway stuff. I just think he's not at the same level as the others have been for the past few weeks. I take it back though, you're right, he wasn't outmatched by Melissa last week.

I really liked Evan in both of the Sonya routines from the past two weeks.

I'm wondering if Wade phoned in his very un-Wade-esque cheerleader piece, as a consolation to the 4 dancers who had so many routines to learn in the past few days for both finale nights.

Probably, especially since they weren't actually getting critiqued on it unlike the previous 4 seasons.

ha that is awesome (if a little harsh on Evan, because really it's not his fault that his dance-style sort of hinges on him moving in slow-motion)

Jeanine's pirouette where she gradually slows down and stops on a dime = incredible

I think this was what fully sealed me in her favor; prior to that I'd just been generally anti-Evan and not really thought through the rest of them a lot.

There was actually one moment where Evan could have done something that would have gotten my vote, and that was if, when asked "what's the nastiest thing you've ever done," he would have reached deep down to the nastiness inside and said, e.g., "Janette."

Yeah, that would have totally lost my vote because it would have dragged someone else into it. Had he said "Mary, I thought that was just between us..." I would have cheered.

I hope the choreographers aren't burned out of ideas with this fast season turnaround. Some more fresh faces would be nice.

Dan's revision of Evan's chance to be nasty is, yes, much better, though I'd still have wanted him to do it in as assholish a way as possible, just for a change

no, you don't, do you? you're an afterthought. i really felt for brandon, there. i actually was rooting for him to sweep it.

last year it was kinda different, because twitch kinda lucked into the top 2 and joshua deserved to win. but j and b were evenly matched.

really, katee and joshua shoulda been the last pair standing last year. but i've beaten that point to death. (and i say this as a big Twitch fan)

Have to admit, I didn't see a Jeanine win coming, in fact, I thought it would come down to Brandon vs. Evan. When Evan got the boot, I figured Brandon would definitely win.

Interesting thing about last season: they loved Katee so much that they came up with some bonus prize for her. I think Brandon maybe deserved something similar.

I was trying to remember this last night -- didn't they sort of break up last season's finale in such a way that Katee could be awarded as, like, "top girl?"

I'm guessing money is tight nowadays, and they are giving away another quarter-million in a few months for Season 6. It was convenient that Katee finished 3rd ahead of Courtney and were able to give her a consolation prize.

I was glad Jeanine was able to make a little acceptance speech, I remember the past couple years the finale ran overtime and we barely got a minute past the confetti falling before the credits had finished.
