I logged out but kept some lists public so I can keep up w/ sports, etc, etc. When I visit the site (in a private window blah blah blah), the suggested tweets (not ads) at the bottom are just awful -- anti-"woke", anti-trans, anti-biden, anti-Dems, climate-change denying...just gross.

i dont use that feature but it seems like a lot of people do

that's one of those things that makes me thinking I'm using a different twitter. like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone where some of us or maybe just me are using an app that doesn't actually exist any more

I do use bookmarks for the stuff I want to save and want to find later, I like too much stuff to use likes for that.

I just have 270 tabs on my phone where I’ve followed an article link or a band post or something.

Ms. Mandel may be an overly rigid and harshly judgemental person who is belligerently proud of her bad politics, but she is correct that a person on a ventilator undergoing a life-threatening major infection and cascading failures of multiple vital organs (as she describes her mother being at the time) is predictably going to die in a matter of days or weeks, regardless of treatment. The idea of anyone 'making a recovery' under such circumstances is nothing but a false hope. The only indeterminate factor is how long and agonizing their remaining time will be before they die. Responsible physicians would have made that clear to her at the time.

I don’t think it’s that much of a stretch to think that the same person tweeting pridefully about being a grandma killer and how they won’t give up anything to help another person might have pulled the cord on their mom because it was a drag hanging out in that hospital.
