Again: I played Goldeneye TRYING TO GET KILLED and couldn't do it because the multiplayer takes place in a meaningless No-Place with no past, present, future or any distinguishing marks.

And I speak, as mentioned way upthread, as a lover of the genre, aghast at what was being lapped up as a bold new development. If Goldeneye had been a PC game it would have been laughed off as being even shittier than Heretic or Rise Of The Triad.

Mario World and SMB3 need to switch places. Both great games though.

Goldeneye was popular because most high school students didn't have lans with multiple ethernet equipped pentiums in their houses.

I don't think there are enough xbox owners/gayzor mountains residents on ilx for that to happen, re: HALO

I'm not sure how Tetris can be called overrated. It's like calling Checkers overrated. I was watching some webvideo on Tetris recently and one of the people on it correctly noted that in 100 years, it's likely that only Tetris will be around in its original form. It's flawless.

It's a good game don't get me wrong, there's just too much luck involved. How many times have you stacked your blocks all nice and neat but then die because you didn't get a straight Tetris block in time?
