this guy is really such a great DJ

at least, when making mixes -- never seen him live. but the new BiS one is great, as was the RA
― autogucci cru (deej), Monday, 15 June 2009 01:04 (3 years ago) Permalink
i saw him once live, it was wicked. not really as floaty as the RA mix or the bubbletease podcasts though, very high disco tempo to the whole thing. seemingly endless edit of that old philly soul classic 'only the strong survive' that just went on and on and on while he abused the EQ will live long in the memory!
― Executive Producer Wolf Dick (haitch), Monday, 15 June 2009 01:32 (3 years ago) Permalink
yeah i saw him once and i drank waaay too much but his set was awesome! really fun house & disco. didn't realize he had done a mix for RA, must grab that now..
― one time, Monday, 15 June 2009 01:49 (3 years ago) Permalink
he's one of the deejays i most want to see live that i haven't seen yet. his online mixes are all outstanding.
also for track reccomendations, i see no one has mentioned Cyclops' "Where's Jason's K?" which is insanity of the highest order.

has anybody heard his remix of the theme from 'jaws'???
― "woah man, flügelhorn" (haitch), Sunday, 2 August 2009 21:26 (3 years ago) Permalink
it's at the beginning of one of the more recent bubbletease communications mixes (no. 50 or later), IIRC

I'm actually really feeling the Mim Suleiman album Tungi on Running Back, produced by Fulton. Groovy Syclops-esque synth-funk with exuberant female vocals in Swahili. plus Fulton is in SF next weekend, can't wait!!

Waaah, Boof's Shhh, Dandelions at Play is exactly what I wanted.
― Jedmond, Thursday, 27 October 2011 23:27 (1 year ago) Permalink
Just got around to listening to Shhh Dandelions At Play and it is very good, a little bit Fulton-on-autopilot but it is so lush and swirly that it's hard to fault.

― Number None, Sunday, 3 February 2013 18:12 (3 months ago) Permalink
Yay! I love I've Got My Eye On You, such a kinetic delight. Also, I just found out yesterday that the Bubbletease Communications podcasts apparently have never stopped..! I assumed they did because the feed was never updated after #55. Yesterday I found #72 under Bubbletease Communications's Events, wtf. If anyone has #56 to 71, please let me know :)

Really enjoying the new Syclops album, but massively feeling the Fulton-produced solo album by former Freeform Five vocalist Tamara Barnett-Herrin. It's not anything he didn't do on Kathy Diamond's album but it feels a lot more immediate. Did this slip by everyone else?
― boxedjoy, Friday, 8 March 2013 23:19 (2 months ago) Permalink
^^^ this. I am so into the new Syclops album; I will definitely check out this Tamara Barnett-Herrin one too

I really hope I get to hear "Jump Bugs" on a dancefloor sometime
― Room 227 (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 4 April 2013 02:06 (1 month ago) Permalink
I like to try to come up with words for the abbreviated song titles too ("Sarah's E[ggs] With Extra P[epper]", "Michele's H[onest] With C[had]", etc)
