I wish we could combine those! And have Bob Dylan murdered by a psychotic midget in Venice! Excellent!

Just to clarify: I mean which name goes with which poster; it's not like they write the same way or anything. It's like I used to mix up the names Felt and The Fall.

Yes. I was justabout to post that this has been covered by "Third Rock from the Sun". Lithgow: "One's a little beefier."

This is something every Duran fanbeing does at least once: Accidentally say "I'll cross that bridge when I find it," instead of "I'll cross that bridge when I get to it." Confusing to little girl me: Donald Regan and Ronald Reagan. Confusing to preteen me: Roger Taylor of Queen and Roger Taylor of, oh, you know. Can't think of anything else.

Juoda and syödä! They mean TO DRINK and TO EAT in Finnish but I always get them confused and thus told my teacher that I drink a lot of meat. This is the sort of thing we learn in class. Hmm.

You study Finnish? Dare I ask the reason for this?

Which of them was in Stargate and which in Donnie Darko?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 24 January 2007 08:39 (6 years ago) Permalink

Burt Reynolds & Tom Selleck

OMG, I used to get those two mixed up as well! The thing that helps me out is knowing that Reynolds is a nobody now and Selleck is the guy who played "Magnum P.I.", as well as helped Kevin Kline's character get out of the closet in In & Out (so Selleck obv wins). OH, nearly forgot when he was Monica's older boyfriend in "Friends", too! So the '90s obv made Selleck stand out a bit more, thankfully....

And Patrick Swayze is the dude in "Donnie Darko". Kurt Russell I remember as being the guy who started out as a child actor.

I used to be confused by Dorothy Hamill and Mary Lou Retton when I was a little kid, too. Just remembered. And the names of the two families on "Charles In Charge" -- the Powells and the, gee, can't remember the other one. I used to, though, and eventually figured out the Powells were from the latter part of the series and that other family were the first ones, the one without the grandfather.

I've always mixed Tobey McGuire and Jake Gyllenhaal too, maybe because they've both played angsty teenagers.
