The tweet misfire was one thing, 'covfefe' was another hilarious thing, but the biggest and most important takeaway here is that it's been established that a number of people have access to his Twitter and the ability to make him not look like an incompetent dipshit (in this instance) and they did nothing.

And I would wager that at least part of the impetus behind the hands-off, 'this is allllll you' approach is frustration over his continued refusal to accept any counsel on the wisdom of just shutting the fuck up already while his administration is under investigation.

I don't want to belabor the point, but I think this tweet misfire is a much bigger deal than it seems on the surface inasmuch as anyone who had the power to C the POTUS's A on this one chose instead to let him dangle in the wind overnight. This might be a decisive moment in his inner circle's shift from spinning the narrative to letting him dig his own grave while they look after number one.
