I'm glad they are turning R4 into talksport because it couldn't get much worse at the moment anyway. It is funny how so much of the population that seem think national austerity is just what we need guv. But as soon as some rich sociopath turns up at their club with promises of arms race style wasting of millions they are like "bite their hand off!".

The last time I went to Wembley I packed a thermos flask full of red wine and a pop bottle full of courvoisier for on the coach. Not much chance of getting a hangover with the £5+ pints of watery lager at Wembley, and I'm going by 2012 prices there.

calzino, Friday, 19 May 2017 19:25 (six years ago) link

Sounds like a plan, I remember going to Wembley as a kid in the 80s and my dad having an eppy when somebody tried to charge him a quid for a can of pop

The Remoans of the May (Noodle Vague), Friday, 19 May 2017 20:15 (six years ago) link

They hadn't put the prices up by last year, although they did have some sort of weird system in place to try and stop you buying multiple drinks at once.

enjoying the l1 final

you'll never believe it but it's why yes finely poised exactly how did u know

bradford obv the better side having most of the play but wall with the better chances, couple of sitters and now it's just getting bitty and tense etc

wall have yet to take john sitton's classic advice and bring on fred onyedinma (who qpr are signing on a free after this game supposedly)

r|t|c, Saturday, 20 May 2017 15:33 (six years ago) link

bugger. white feather morison 1-0. but bradford faded out badly since i last typed

r|t|c, Saturday, 20 May 2017 15:46 (six years ago) link

the full pitch invasion and Neil Harris telling a thug to fuck off was quite amusing.

calzino, Saturday, 20 May 2017 16:11 (six years ago) link

the silver fox wasn't too happy about it either! Oh god, poor Bradford.

calzino, Saturday, 20 May 2017 16:22 (six years ago) link

one of the many bad social ills from Khan's affordable gentrification will be that some of the Wall's worst racist shit4brains will end up getting housed in the north.

calzino, Saturday, 20 May 2017 16:35 (six years ago) link

hope they get 10 points next season

anybody would look like an expert after Moxey tbf

The Remoans of the May (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 25 May 2017 11:34 (six years ago) link

he never stays anywhere too long does Webber. Overrated huckster who made some good decisions and made some bad, now he is just repeating the formula - albeit on massiver wages!

calzino, Thursday, 25 May 2017 12:54 (six years ago) link

got to say though, bullshit merchant or not Wagner and VLP were great acquisitions, but Wagner's own signings have been great value as well.

have a feeling this might just turn out to be that extremely rare occasion where vaguely trendy cosmopolitanism has done a reasonably qualified brit candidate (heckingbottom) out of a job :O

xp
When your brand has been tainted so much so, you have to struggle that much harder to distinguish yourself from the morass of troglodytes R us. Although the Brum owners haven't read this memo yet.

Lol! speak of the devil!

calzino, Thursday, 25 May 2017 13:31 (six years ago) link

local coverage on the next Leeds manager will supersede lil old us, even if we get promoted to the prem on monday. We have to do it just rub some manure all over those bitter Whites involved with local BBC.

calzino, Thursday, 25 May 2017 13:36 (six years ago) link

guess that can only be steve "we will smash the league next year" gibson whispering tastefully in monk's ear

moyes for leeds please

If Leeds and Moyes collide the subsequent black hole could very well destroy the galaxy as we know it

calzino, Thursday, 25 May 2017 14:29 (six years ago) link

There is something very UKIP about Monk's attitude and mannerisms that really grinds my gears, but getting into the politics of footballers/managers is a probably a complete waste of energy.

calzino, Thursday, 25 May 2017 15:38 (six years ago) link

I just found out my step-dad has booked a train for the monday Wembley trip, beautiful - I won't even need to hide my booze.

calzino, Thursday, 25 May 2017 17:34 (six years ago) link

I'm jealous - I'll be in Norwich pretending to be an artist until Sunday then will be dashing down without enough time spare to ensure I remember nothing at all about the day out at Wembles.

Tim, Thursday, 25 May 2017 17:48 (six years ago) link

The security goons at Wembley seemed a bit keen last time, one of them accused me of being too drunk which was only about half right. I am going have a good drink but maybe a bit less than last time. It sounds like taking any bags is a no as well, wouldn't even be sure if you could leave one in a locker at Victoria station atm. Probably travelling light will be the order of the day.

calzino, Thursday, 25 May 2017 19:07 (six years ago) link

Hate being accused of being too drunk, I'm lovely no matter how battered

The Remoans of the May (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 25 May 2017 19:11 (six years ago) link

well exactly

calzino, Thursday, 25 May 2017 19:19 (six years ago) link

praying that the Nuno rumours are true if only because of the massive trolling to our "putting a shift in" ultras

the original mendes pawn, how sweet

karanka + leeds is just too dirty to contemplate

I will enjoy being a Mendes money-laundering operation way more than huffing and puffing away under Lambo, Brucey, Monk, etc etc etc

I quite liked this from the penultimate cartoon match report of the season.

good luck Exeter!

The Remoans of the May (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 28 May 2017 06:50 (six years ago) link

Thanks. It'll be a weird one with 17-18000 of us and about 6000 of Blackpool. Would rather be playing Blackburn than Forest Green next year but it doesn't fee like the biggest deal for some reason. Still excited though, obv.

Tim, Sunday, 28 May 2017 07:36 (six years ago) link

GL Exeter. It looks like most of the Tangerines will be supporting Exeter today as well so you have to do 'em!

calzino, Sunday, 28 May 2017 12:11 (six years ago) link

Sorry Tim.

Mud... Jam... Failure... (aldo), Sunday, 28 May 2017 16:15 (six years ago) link

what a downer of a result Tim:( I hope you still had a good day.

calzino, Sunday, 28 May 2017 19:53 (six years ago) link

Thanks all, I had three quarters of a good day! It wasn't much of a game and I feel a bit sore this morning but I'm not as disappointed as I might be - compared to failing to get back into the league this is nothing.

Tim, Monday, 29 May 2017 07:56 (six years ago) link
