It's much easier to prove the existence of a capricious, malevolent, hostile god than a benign god who loves justice and mercy.

next time my wife suggests i might not want to spend eight hours in a row on the couch playing videogames and eating fried lard i'll tell her i'm conserving my precious "finite" energy resources

i'll say it quietly and slowly, so as not to further drain my essence

although given the bombshell revelation about his opinions on exercise we can probably now safely assume that he's not trying at all, lest his vital life-force be siphoned from him by the effort

Trump is indeed very trying.

Trump’s views on exercise were mentioned in a New Yorker article this month and in “Trump Revealed,” The Washington Post’s 2016 biography of the president, which noted that Trump mostly gave up athletics after college because he “believed the human body was like a battery, with a finite amount of energy, which exercise only depleted.”

how can someone possibly think this in 2017

given trump's appearance, i can only assume that if there's any truth to this, he'll live until he's 180

i read somewhere that psychopaths are usually kind of retarded, with IQs topping out at 100 or so. i feel like trump is one of these blockheaded psychopaths. the confusing thing about him is that he is able to successfully manipulate everyone without truly understanding anything, but apparently that is common.

so waitaminute...
american's who don't like pinko health care solutions like the ACA or single payer health care – they dislike the idea of having to cover things like the costs of some guys' diabetes treatment, because he was lazy and ate like shit. essentially, in their minds, subsidizing his poor decisions.
yet these same people are paying for the health care costs of a guy (the president) who thinks exercise in somehow unhealthy and eats hamburgers and burnt steaks for pretty much every meal?

believing in heaven and hell seems kinda like an either/or to me, i'd be surprised if a significant chunk would say they thought it was anything other than a literal afterlife where you're rewarded or punished

fundies or not lots of paycheck-to-paycheck common clay see a comic-book villain slob like comrade combover and his celebrity apprentices as a purifying purge and "think" '(government is the problem; tax cuts pay for themselves and/or deficits don't matter) this silver spoon caricature will wreck the country and those mouthy self-righteous 'liberals' will be miserable, too, that'll show 'em (government is the problem; tax cuts pay for themselves and/or deficits don't matter)'. would be nice to figure out how to get them to vote democratic instead
