After having already released both colored vinyl singles and picture discs in the 1980s, Canadian rock artist Bryan Adams issued a 12" single of "Can't Stop This Thing We Started" in autumn 1991, which had the front cover photography etched onto side B. Copies in near mint condition are easy to get by today, usually for less than the actual retail value in 1991.

Enjoyed the long, embarrassed throat-clearing before this paragraph gets to its point:

Etymology
The name refers to the analogue and digital electronic music equipment James used to perform much of Analord, as well as being a double entendre. Since James has a penchant for anagrams, it is noteworthy that "Analord" is an anagram for "A Roland", perhaps referencing the manufacturers of de facto industry standard analogue synthesizers. It has also been speculated that the term "Analord" is a portmanteau of the words analogue and lord, referring to Richard James' previous analogue programming, and the talent and recognition he has in his industry. "Analord" is also the title of a Luke Vibert track from Lover's Acid on Planet Mu. It's also suspected that Analord is a portmanteau of the words "anal" and "lord".

Those are kinda among the better shots in the movie tbh. Most of it alternates between lifeless talky scenes and flailing 'comic' action vomited up by the glow-in-the-dark action playset, which probably does play okay to eight-year-olds. It's at least more consistent in its ''the 60s show, but for the hyperactive 90s kid!'' vision than Batman Forever. Also I would rather watch Arnold hamming up dumb puns than Carrey sweating hard for a laugh that never comes.

maybe "usual details"

"Menus vary in length and detail depending on the type of restaurant. The simplest hand-held menus are printed on a single sheet of paper, though menus with multiple pages or "views" are common. In some cafeteria-style restaurants and chain restaurants, a single-page menu may double as a disposable placemat. To protect a menu from spills and wear, it may be protected by heat-sealed vinyl page protectors, laminating or menu covers. Restaurants weigh their positioning in the marketplace (e.g. fine dining, fast food, informal) in deciding which style of menu to use.

A source from the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod likewise states that, if the name was derived from the Latin mandatum, we would call the day Mandy Thursday, or Mandate Thursday, or even Mandatum Thursday; and that the term "Maundy" comes in fact from the Latin mendicare, Old French mendier, and English maund, which as a verb means to beg and as a noun refers to a small basket held out by maunders as they maunded.[49] Other sources reject this etymology.[50]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coal_scuttle

A coal scuttle, sometimes spelled coalscuttle and also called a hod, "coal bucket", or "coal pail", is a bucket-like container for holding a small, intermediate supply of coal convenient to an indoor coal-fired stove or heater.

Description[edit]
Coal scuttles are usually made of metal and shaped as a vertical cylinder or truncated cone, with the open top slanted for pouring coal on a fire. It may have one or two handles.[1] Homes that don't use coal sometimes use a coal scuttle decoratively.[2]

Origin[edit]
The word scuttler comes, via Middle English and Old English, from the Latin word Scutula, meaning a shallow pan.[3]

Infamous use[edit]
In 1917, the Swedish serial killer Hilda Nilsson used a coal scuttle, a large bucket, and a washboard to drown children that she had been hired to care for.[4]

I really only came into this article to read about Postman Pat, but this was interesting as well:

Possible Railway Route[edit]
When the directors of the Lancaster and Carlisle Railway were choosing its route in the 1840s, one possibility considered was a route through Kendal and along Longsleddale, with a 2-mile tunnel under the Gatescarth Pass into Mardale and thence towards Bampton. This route had the support of the Kendal Committee of the Lancaster and Carlisle Railway; other alternatives under consideration included a line over a barrage across Morecambe Bay and round the Cumbrian coast, routes bypassing Shap to the east and west, and the Shap summit route finally chosen.

After a lengthy Parliamentary inquiry the longer and steeper route over Shap Fell was chosen. Thomas Bouch was approached to be an adviser on the Longsleddale route and if this route had been chosen, in all probabilities Thos. Bouch would have been appointed as the civil and railway engineer. Bouch was the engineer for the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway and rose to fame in later years, for it was his design of the Tay Railway Bridge that was destroyed in a severe storm.

The gradient of the Longsleddale route would have been somewhat less than the 1 in 70 gradient of the climb up and over Shap Fell, and the use of banking engines could have been reduced if not entirely eliminated. An interesting scenario emerges that if the route had been chosen and the railway passed through a tunnel under Gatesgarth Pass, emerging onto Mardale Common and passed alongside the lake of Haweswater; would the Mardale valley have been flooded to form Haweswater reservoir?

It has been said that the Longsleddale route, "had it ever been built, would have been as dramatic and awe-inspiring as any in Britain".[7]

Many tales, perhaps apocryphal, were told of him at MIT, especially concerning his absent-mindedness. It was said that he returned home once to find his house empty. He inquired of a neighborhood girl the reason, and she said that the family had moved elsewhere that day. He thanked her for the information and she replied, "That's why I stayed behind, Daddy!"[9]

In 1980, Cousins made a guest appearance on a heavy metal album for British soon-to-be supergroup Def Leppard. On the band's debut album, On Through The Night, Cousins' voice can be heard at the beginning of the album's sixth track titled "When the Walls Came Tumblin' Down". Cousins does not lend any vocal harmonies, but simply reads a melancholy tale that serves as the track's intro. His voice lends itself well to the mood of the verse.

Reportedly, Def Leppard later admitted that they were not happy with this album, as it was their first real studio album from their teenage years. The band has never alluded to any unhappiness with Cousins' performance.[3]

whoever filled in the entry for forgotten 80s cartoon dinosaucers has really given me the giggles tonight. quoting extensively since i am sure someday this severely over-long, detailed and in-universe article will get dramatically curtailed.

All the Dinosaucers have a button on the front of their uniforms which instantly devolves them to their primitive ancestors dinosaur state, while retaining their intelligence and speech capacity. This special ability is called Dinovolving and initially appeared to be a significant element of the series, as both Allo and Bronto Thunder Dinovolved in the first episode. Despite the apparent technological advantage, most of the later episodes did not feature any Dinovolving.

His address on Reptilon is "where Palmer Avenue meets Emerson and Lake".

Bronto Thunder's name is an example of a tautology, as "bronto" means "thunder" in Ancient Greek.

He is good natured and innocent, without a doubt the stupidest Dinosaucer, even though he has great combat ability as a Pachycephalosaurus. He can Dinovolve into a 25 foot Pachycephalosaurus.

Teryx has a crush on Ichy, but fears it won't work out because she is a flying creature, while Ichy is aquatic, though she comes around it and gains confidence in herself as the series progresses, even forming a pair with Ichy since the episode For the Love of Teryx. At the same time, Teryx completely denies Genghis Rex's advances. Despite doing so, she understands him and despite stating she has no feelings for Rex in the episode Scales of Justice, she does seem to feel pity towards him. However, her feminine charms have been used against Genghis Rex, since his affection for her prevents him from harming her or even plotting against the Dinosaucers at times. Teryx used to be an actress on Reptilon's daytime television before she became a Dinosaucer.

Returned to normal by the episode's end, the character has since had no romantic interest in humans and the plot point of the Dinosaucers having a technology that would allow them to take on human form was forgotten. Presumably, they still possess the device, but it has become a forgotten piece of their arsenal.

Due to some radioactive material leaking while he was transporting them some of the creatures in the swamp mutated, gained intelligence (about level of Bonehead) and the ability to talk. The mutated creatures on the swamp felt his uninterest and started to behave wildly or strangely in order to draw his attention.

and, just one tidbit from the Talk page:

I don't know many Italians, but I don't think I would call Plesio's accent Italian. More like just a raspy version of Rex, which makes sense since the same voice actor did both. I'm removing this statement. GreyWyvern 02:55, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
