But civilization is a very specific kind of behavior and evolution can easily chug along for hundreds of millions of years without producing organisms that choose to behave this way. my intuition is (1) crystalline structure is an extremely weird concept mathematically and i got my second lowest finals great on the relevant course (2) treating time like a spatial dimension is guaranteed to make your intuition useless. i got my lowest finals grade on the relevant course.
