theres the same extremely obvious adlib in tshirt after "same color tshirt" and in call casting "white boys in the game call em andy milonakis" which is kinda dumb on its own but becomes funny in repetition WHITE

idg what the point of highlighting the ad libs is, from a music writer pov... 99% of the time they're just repeating the last or second last word

adlibs are so crucial to migos music + generally function as musical —memes— that travel outside the songs, so yeah theyre worth talking about

ive listened to culture a bunch and its good but i do feel a lil frustration when sensing the outline of a classic rappity rap album that cldve been

I gave it a try right as it came out, didn't click. Earlier this week put it on again, have been listening to it every day since. I'm completely enthralled by the drums on a track like Get Right Witcha.

man this sucks. you should be in the room the first time a kid (talking here about my kid, ten years old) hears a a migos tune -- just instant response. all the word is this was a quiet guy who just loved making music. thanks to d-40 over on twitter for holding the line on how it's bullshit to be amplifying pictures of a man's dead body and rest easy to a guy who made music a whole fuckin lot of people loved.
