“The Chinese market is a danger for all,” said Conte. “Not only for Chelsea, but all the teams in the world. But I think we must concentrate on our work, not think that in China there is a lot of money and they can arrive to take the players there."

couldnt decide between staccato arabic or lugubrious soviet commentary for todays's stream of qpr vs ipswich town so i've left both running simultaneously. what a world!!

'konor voshington' is a definite improvement

r|t|c, Monday, 2 January 2017 15:56 (seven years ago) link

any of youse try acestream yet? no pop-ups and all that and hd quality sometimes. Fucking neat VLC player add-on 4 real.

calzino, Monday, 2 January 2017 16:02 (seven years ago) link

worked for me for a while maybe a year ago but now just sticks on "starting..." and never loads

probably look back into it whenever navix stops doing big match flash streams

i gather kodi channels can be quite good but doubt if i'll ever be in the mood to figure out all that bollocks

r|t|c, Monday, 2 January 2017 16:27 (seven years ago) link

i must get something sorted, unless we're on TV i just assume there are no streams available

Rock Wokeman (Noodle Vague), Monday, 2 January 2017 16:28 (seven years ago) link

these days that is always the case in my experience. But when streams are available it's about 90% less painful with acestream.

calzino, Monday, 2 January 2017 16:38 (seven years ago) link

SUPER PAV does it again. after the most tedious half of nonsense

aimless long ball and he's in, one touch down, second rounds the keeper, third the goal

it's tyskie time

Where's he off to?

Le Bateau Ivre, Monday, 2 January 2017 18:55 (seven years ago) link

no suggestion yet. west ham were rumoured in the summer, seems plausible

r|t|c, Monday, 2 January 2017 19:32 (seven years ago) link

4400 today at Edgar Street. That's more than 50% of Div 4 and some Div 3. I know it can't go on forever but jfc.

In related news we were rotten today, if you'd offered me a draw after an hour I would have taken it but somehow we won 2-1. Still unbeaten in the league.

Karl Henry has been told he can leave QPR following a fall-out with boss Ian Holloway.

Henry has been ordered to train with Rangers’ development squad and been made available to other clubs.

RB Leipzig are interested in signing Brentford striker Scott Hogan in January, Sky Sports News HQ understands.

Hogan is valued at around £15m by Brentford and has reportedly attracted interest from Premier League clubs, including West Ham, as well as from other clubs in the Championship.

Hogan signed for Brentford from Rochdale in £750,000 deal in 2014 but suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in only his second game for the club. He did not return to action until March 2016 and scored seven goals in the last four matches of last season.

brum bid 4m for sako, lol

boro shift nugent and rhodes to buy rudy gestede for 6m, lol

villa bid £3m for lansbury, he's a ponce

r|t|c, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 09:31 (seven years ago) link

I'd probably welcome Sako back for that money tbh, on the premise that we've got bottomless pockets

slight concern that we're 4 days into the window and haven't bought any competent centre halves or somebody who can boss centre mid yet. that and a Rhodes is all we want at the moment I think. maybe a right back.

Rock Wokeman (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 4 January 2017 10:00 (seven years ago) link

k so this morning we've bid for Ben Chapman and put in a loan enquiry for McCormack, that's more like it. prefer Rhodes to McCormack tho

Rock Wokeman (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 4 January 2017 10:16 (seven years ago) link

I don't think Rhodes would hold down a place in our team anymore - even if we could afford him. Wagner would probably put his nose out of joint about his work-rate/team ethic straight away. This would have seemed unthinkable a few years back, but that's the Wagner effect.

so far lots of implausible rumours about bundesliga strikers. I believe the one about us after Scunthorpe's keeper on a free this summer though.

calzino, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 12:22 (seven years ago) link

Böðvarsson's got great work-rate and teamwork, he just doesn't know where the back of the net is, like the rest of our alleged strikers

Rock Wokeman (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 4 January 2017 12:53 (seven years ago) link

It looks like Nahki will be going "for the next stage of his career" to Villa or Norwich in this window. Some think we are going to bid for Winnall (whose contract is up in the summer) as a replacement.

calzino, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 13:33 (seven years ago) link

;_; another lad who it might've been better to actually develop him and play him properly

Rock Wokeman (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 4 January 2017 13:48 (seven years ago) link

RB Leipzig have submitted a £6m offer for the 19-year-old Nottingham Forest midfielder Matty Cash.

Cash has made 12 appearances for Forest, who gave him his debut in August. His season was interrupted by an injury sustained in September which kept him out for two and a half months. Last season he spent time on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge in League Two, also playing 12 games.

r|t|c, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 16:00 (seven years ago) link

that seems more like a downpayment on the club rather than a genuine transfer fee.

calzino, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 16:48 (seven years ago) link

meanwhile Huddersfield Town are weighing up a move for RB Leipzig’s Terrence Boyd, we aren't one of these shit feeder clubs to a fizzy drink company.

calzino, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 17:13 (seven years ago) link

just found out Jamie O'Hara's in Big Brother, worried about how he'll cope sat around for weeks on end doing fuck all

Rock Wokeman (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 4 January 2017 18:31 (seven years ago) link

his profile will be even higher than when offered Leon Knight out on twitter

calzino, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 19:00 (seven years ago) link

Brentford have rejected a £10million offer from West Ham for star striker Scott Hogan. The Bees are holding out for £15m plus add-ons for the 24-year-old hotshot.

r|t|c, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 20:53 (seven years ago) link

christ, if you are spending silly money surely Rhodes would be a better fox in the box type option. And at least he hasn't had 2 major ligament injuries in the last 18 months.

calzino, Wednesday, 4 January 2017 22:56 (seven years ago) link

Our win today makes officially mathematically safe. I'm pretty sure we're first in the country, though I haven't checked anywhere below Step 8.

Horizontal Superman is invulnerable (aldo), Saturday, 7 January 2017 20:12 (seven years ago) link

Steven Fletcher, Lucas Joao, Marco Matias, Gary Hooper, Atdhe Nuhui, Fernando Forresteri, and now Winnall has gone to Wednesday :(

How many more forwards do they need ffs, jealous really because we are making do with one and are being linked with a D Ward return after getting priced out on Winnall.

calzino, Thursday, 12 January 2017 14:38 (seven years ago) link

some talk that it's going to be a double deal with hourihane as well

r|t|c, Thursday, 12 January 2017 14:44 (seven years ago) link

izzy brown's nae bad tbf calz

r|t|c, Thursday, 12 January 2017 14:45 (seven years ago) link

I suppose so, but he is still very young + on a learning curve, he might not be as consistent as Palmer has been if what some Millers fans say about him is right. And if Nahki goes to Norwich, like has been rumoured, we will be totally knacked. Hopefully Wagner can dig up another Bundesliga bargain a la Kachunga - cos the championship market is way too inflated for us to compete.

calzino, Thursday, 12 January 2017 14:55 (seven years ago) link

Tbf on Ward it sounds like he has got his act together at Rotherham. He was always very talented but lazy and unfit when we last had him. But it seems like the most likely to happen transfer for us, he still lives in the area and isn't spotted filling his face in Nandos every night like he used to. I don't feel guilty about us taking Rotherham's best players because they are doomed anyway. But poor Barnsley are only 4 pts off Wednesday.

calzino, Thursday, 12 January 2017 15:16 (seven years ago) link

we are playing reading away tonight, and i happily admit my anticipation for the fixture rests entirely on the vague possibility of an orange ball
