Lol at none of the top 3 being actual electronic/dance music, I guess ILX's Americanisation is now complete.

that's "americanization" if you please

we can certainly see the results of "Americanisation" when 2 of the top 3 are, err, European artists.

What I meant was, in 1995 Americans weren't really listening to electronic club music, so those albums would not be familiar to most of them, so they'll vote for the pop and trip-hop stuff that did cross over. And American music, of course.

hadn't heard of Sound Patrol "Sweetened, No Lemon" but apparently it's Derrick Carter. anyone got any thoughts on either of those?

one track on this is fantastic, so much so that i have forgotten what the rest of the record is like. it has the kind of sleeve you might well pass over when looking in the record shop

>>never heard of it before but voted for Pizzamania by Pizzaman

>I remember the cheesy big single from it

I get it!

I do not remember this but I would like to think it's another early Fatboy Slim alias

Yeah it is - but not fully formed Fatboy Slim. Hi-energy, vaguely latin rhythms, whistles blowing and so on makes it like a proto-Basement Jaxx at times. Pretty good album but not compared to some of the others here.
