12 vs 10 today, but it sounds like we are coping admirably.

why i do believe that our little old squad of part-timers is starting to come together

not loving this Leeds revival tho

door unlawful carnal knowledge (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 24 September 2016 15:56 (seven years ago) link

it is very disappointing, I hope Leeds get the same ref we had today at their next away fixture

Reading ended up lucky to hold on against 10 today, despite the ref giving them everything, bottling a last man foul on Nahki call and seemingly hellbent on reducing us to 9. Previously we get gubbed in games like this, so definitely taking positives from this one, especially away at one of the better sides.

calzino, Saturday, 24 September 2016 16:39 (seven years ago) link

small signs jfh may have stopped the rot today. enforced change for the injured cousins (starting on the bloody right again) has hopefully shown this (admirably/suicidally) stubborn git the light

anyone but karl obv but ariel borysiuk finally starting in his place was a massive upgrade and his countryman wzolek on the wing v good also. try and graf up the polish cultural centre now u cunts

the length of Henry's professional career is a far greater mystery than Rooney's continuity imo

door unlawful carnal knowledge (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 24 September 2016 23:53 (seven years ago) link

banality of evil is the opposite of mystery alas

r|t|c, Sunday, 25 September 2016 08:43 (seven years ago) link

but he's shit at everything. too slow and weedy to be a real enforcer, can't pass, doesn't cover a lot of ground, no positional sense.

Asked if he had sold his shares in Renewal, Sullivan said: “Yes, I must have sold them.”

Zac Goldsmith in disguiseKhan doesn't come out of this with any credit.

"“Sadiq is clear that London is open and encourages investment from all over the world to build new and genuinely affordable homes,”

Yes, so not gentrification at all, it doesn't look good for someone who ran on a ticket to tackle the housing crisis.

she was up for election to the EFL's board as its L1 representative, against stefan gamble of walsall, but several dozen charlton fans sent letters to all the other ceos in L1 dissuading them from voting for her, so she has pulled out of the vote, meaning gamble is elected unopposed

driesen thing...let's see

oh it's coming out that caleb from pretty little liars wanted to overrule a transfer we did last month (andrew crofts) and nearly still had the authority to do so

"Derby's players were only told about Pearson's suspension three hours before kick-off in south Wales, and the news made for a sense of bemusement inside the Cardiff City Stadium."

The real big story of the day. Allegedly, apart from piles of fucking money from signing on fees, one of the main reasons Butterfield pushed for his Derby move was to gtf away from Powell's insipid management style.

calzino, Tuesday, 27 September 2016 21:30 (seven years ago) link

if Cellino's involved in this i just don't know what to believe any more

What happened has he been revealed as a benevolent philanphropist type on the side or something?

Lolling at Leeds fans, who are for the umpteenth time talking about some shadowy benefactor with deep pocketz waiting in the wings to pull them out of the shit again. Maybe they are secretly hoping they don't take a peek under the blanket before they buy.

calzino, Wednesday, 28 September 2016 23:02 (seven years ago) link

bleh i've lost perspective on this jimmy thing already. if he was your manager would you want him out, simple yes no

i bill everything i duck (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 29 September 2016 07:56 (seven years ago) link

Given that they're probably all at it, it comes back down to whether he's any good at his actual job

i bill everything i duck (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 29 September 2016 07:58 (seven years ago) link

Lack of job security I suppose is the vindication a lot of them will feel for trying to get some hustle bustle on the side. Doing it to put Junior through university to pay off bookie/losses at the roulette wheel. It is hard to justify this type of grift when some of them are already on obscene money, but I suppose the more you have the more you spend.

calzino, Thursday, 29 September 2016 12:15 (seven years ago) link

that Tommy Wright footage makes him look like a right dodgy fucker you would bump into in one of Beeston's roughest pubs. Oh don't worry that's the Barnsley assistant manager there, he won't threateningly ask you if your a "fed".

Smithies has always been so reliable against penalty kicks, he must have psyched out Aluko for the 2nd one as well!
