Rangers release OF Josh Hamilton.

I got to wonder how much the Dodgers really want Puig. You would have to think the Marlins would be a likely location for him to land, if the Fish would want the salary (and or potential headache). They could use the bat.

I'd think the club that could be sharky and get Puig might be the Yanks as his outstanding salary is pretty affordable considering the upside.

Puig is clubbing at AAA. Only thing I can figure is he must be too much to handle and are trying to get him to chill out. Considering the lunacy some clubs will put up with at the big leagues, that has to say something.

He's 25; I think I'd try to work out a trade without hesitation.

I'd want to 1) get him out of Dodger Stadium, and 2) get him away from whatever else is bothering him (which could be as simple as carrying around the weight of those first few months on his back). If there's not a physical issue, I'd want him. I'm too lazy to go looking for parallels, but I know there have been young players in the past who were trapped in a bad situation, got out of it, and flourished.
