watch the refs accept mourinho and conte's lads scream into their faces all season safe in the knowledge the numbers are being buffed up in all the other games

didn't realise that James Beattie was on the coaching staff at Leeds. Brings back amusing memories of the Women in Love style naked man-fight he had in the showers with Pulis at Stoke.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 11:50 (seven years ago) link

fookin' get in there Chery!

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 12:29 (seven years ago) link

manner of that pen sums us up today. very chuffed

r|t|c, Sunday, 7 August 2016 12:30 (seven years ago) link

It's not often I celebrate Chery goals but that one felt v good.

That impressive young Viera kid for Leeds was playing for Batley Phoenix not long ago, should have been on our radar.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 12:41 (seven years ago) link

Vieria, I meant.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 12:43 (seven years ago) link

Beautiful!

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 12:51 (seven years ago) link

how about that. love that man

r|t|c, Sunday, 7 August 2016 12:51 (seven years ago) link

I can't wait to play this shower.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 12:51 (seven years ago) link

Monk seems clueless and is constantly on tv, obv because he know's he'll be gone by Novembernext week and needs other options.

Lol! Lots of Leeds are fans saying they might as well stuck with Silvestri, no shit sherlock! I really hope Green is on good money and they are burdened with him for at least a relegation season or two now.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 13:47 (seven years ago) link

Derby are in for Wells. How predictable, it seemed like his "injury" was bogus. If it means we are going to buy the German striker Uth, i'll take it. Wagner seems to know his shit about top class German 2nd div players so far.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 13:54 (seven years ago) link

At least we will be helping Bradford possibly get a two quid player in this window now:p

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 14:08 (seven years ago) link

Nixon: Derby County. Two most live targets. Lees at Sheff Wed and Wells at Huddersfield. Both will take some doing. Norwich after Wells...

Oh we have a bidding war on the cards, 12 mill at least - he has two years left on his contract.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 14:11 (seven years ago) link

Saunders on Sky earlier was saying that the likes of Town + Rotherham will be parking a bus at Villa and lack the ability to win a proper game of football against these galacticos that won 2 home games last season. It is probably that kind of insight into the makeup of EPL2 that made him such a fine manager at this level.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 19:44 (seven years ago) link

wait, did he watch the game today? same old shit from Villa. there's half a decent team there (almost all new signings / youngsters). Elphick is probably the most popular player in the squad already, Tshibola looks like he might be good. Hutton Cissokho Westwood Gardener Gestede are all problems that need solving. Bacuna not much better. We're going to need at least one good midfielder if we're gonna get anywhere this season.

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 7 August 2016 20:13 (seven years ago) link

It has been the same kind of punditry from 5 live, where they seem to forget how tight this league is and seem to forget every year that parachute money doesn't always equate power.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 20:21 (seven years ago) link

We have Newcastle away next, my stepdad and brother are travelling to this one. Their first away game in something like 18 months. Sad fucking starfuckers.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 20:37 (seven years ago) link

Saunders is a moron. How hard would it have been to look at the respective trajectories of Villa and Wednesday over the last 12 months?

Charlton CEO Katrien Meire, the subject of fans protests, has been appointed to the FA Council as a representative for the EFL

r|t|c, Sunday, 7 August 2016 21:30 (seven years ago) link

Maybe her first act will be to promote the tightening of fit and plopper rulings over club ownership etc :p

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 21:42 (seven years ago) link

imago, Sunday, 7 August 2016 21:48 (seven years ago) link

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 22:12 (seven years ago) link

Oh jesus I didn't mean that you said anything bad! Just that she's been appointed

imago, Sunday, 7 August 2016 22:14 (seven years ago) link

Just one of them moments when you mean one thing and it might look like something different.

calzino, Sunday, 7 August 2016 22:19 (seven years ago) link

As Limmy said, wasser ploblem?

imago, Sunday, 7 August 2016 22:24 (seven years ago) link

imago, Sunday, 7 August 2016 22:31 (seven years ago) link

glorious first win under Zenga, a 2-1 demolition of Crawley

Tom Watson in a fedora (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 9 August 2016 20:42 (seven years ago) link

Only 3 changes from sat and beaten by Shrewsbury, probably the early doors reality check some of us needed tbh. But still enthused by Kachunga scoring again.

calzino, Tuesday, 9 August 2016 21:12 (seven years ago) link

Nervy 2-1 win at Totton on Saturday, nervy 3-2 win at home to Mangotsfield last night. I think I will be saying nervy a lot this season.

4 real guys, if you fancy a laugh check out Luton's 3rd goal

Oh there's been a 3rd

Tom Watson in a fedora (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 10 August 2016 20:14 (seven years ago) link

a beauty

Windsor Davies, Wednesday, 10 August 2016 20:14 (seven years ago) link

we've given up on the simply trying our best to let them score, as it's obviously quicker just to do it ourselves. can't deny that it's efficient

Windsor Davies, Wednesday, 10 August 2016 20:16 (seven years ago) link

(and good player) that shouldve read
