they wanted to do the same thing with the world's nine ephedrine factories to nip meth in the bud before it became such a problem, but they got pwned by BIG PHARMA.

OTM. the scourge of the 70s, along w/angeldust aka PCP or "THC". at first ludes seemed like fun when they were cheap & legal, you'd wash down a 714 w/a beer and get legless. by the late 70s it was a more elite & expensive disco drug and dudes who were like "hey I'ma get laid on these" would wind up passing out or puking. DUD.

Not as nasty as angeldust, ludes just acquired this sleazy aura.

The worst drug I ever tried was amyl nitrate aka "poppers" your head starts POUNDING in this intense rush acc by noxious fumes. UGH.

my next-door neighbor in Ohio got suspended from HS for selling quaaludes. one of his customers swallowed half-a-dozen before gym class...had to get his stomach pumped.
